    Hi all,
Just bought a VFR800 ABS model. A very clean specimen with 10K miles from PA. Rode it back 200 miles to my house yesterday. I really like it but my wrist is little sore and got some cramps on my buttocks. Tweaked Helibars all the way up (they were slid down about an inch from top) and rotated them a little inward. Tried to slide triple clamp up the fork but it wouldn't budge without a fight. So, left it where it was. Need to find higher touring windshield and some hard side bags to go with it. This will be my do it all bike.

I'm pretty sure Helibars are fixed. Sounds like you may have Covertibars. Welcome to it, these are great bikes!

So whats the deal, Kwonmy? The '98 in your photo album is a previous bike you owned?

If so, you know the deal with these bikes - stock seats are dreadful. Is that what's on your new 2002?

yeah, I sold my 98 a few years ago. I've been on few other bikes in between. Came back to VFR. I'd say 6th gen has much better handling than the 5th and looks way sharper. Love it. Stock seat is really horrible. Monkey butt after 200 mile ride yesterday. Sheepskin might be an easy cheap solution?

Knownmy - Check out 'Givi for an Extended windscreen. My 04 had one on it when I bought It but I put the orginal windscreen on because I liked how it looks better. My bike is currently in the shop for 2 Honda "Recalls"; my bike has been there all weekend and I am going through withdrawals.

Everyone says red is the fastest but the blue and white on mine keeps up with the red pretty well......Or is it the red slows down to let the blue and white keep up?

Just some trivia: Some colors are actually lighter than others, then perhaps a tiny bit faster, lol. Here at FedEx, our planes used to be painted purple on the top half of the plane but now they are painted all white but the "purple tail". The pigment in the purple paint added hundreds of pounds as compared to the white paint!
