Hopefully this is a simple enough Queston for you vfr wizards out there....

I'm looking to do a pair of slip-on Supertrapp universl mufflers. They are 1.75" inlet and core, 17.5" can length megaphone style with the 12 discs that can be tuned to the motor.

Using those mufflers with a K&N air filter, am I going to need to change the jets on the carb? I'm hoping not to get into anything that isn't absolutely needed, but I'm also limited by basic hand tools and a lack of tuning experience with bikes.

This vfr is my daily rider so I don't want to do anything that could compromise the integrity or reliability of the bike, just looking to get a nice growl out of the exhaust so the idiots in cars can hear me better so I don't get killed.

Any and all input and advice is greatly appreciated, thanks

If you keep it to 8 discs it will be just fine. You will really like the sound of them.

So no jetting needed? Is there any way I can check the vitals while it's running without any expensive tools?

You can check the jetting by the seat of your pants and a sparkplug wrench. Best to use a fresh set of plugs.

Supertrapp sold those mufflers to be used with 8 disc's for a stock bike.

Y'all are life savers, even better than the candy! I've butt-tuned nitrous in a car before with a spark plug check and never had a problems, so I'm sure I can do it again. Thanks again for saving me time and aggravation
