So I recently added a 2001 VFR to the garage. 42 KM, ok shape (some broken plastics, nothing major).
The front tire was badly worn on the bike, but I drove with it for about a week before replacing.
I had to do an out of province inspection, and was told it needed new pads. No problems, went to my local dealer, and picked up some EBC pads for the front.
As of late the bike has a tendency to lurch to a stop when on the brakes (front or back, does not make a difference).
this is only noticable from about 30 km/h or less. I did bleed the brake system (with a vacuum type tool, to ease the process, and by following my hanyes repair manual).
This seems strange to me, as I've used EBC for many other bike including my 98 cbr 900 with no issues.
anyone have experience with this sort of thing? any help would be appreciated.

no, no feel in the lever, just the brakes being grabby. The bike is smooth as silk where the braking is concerned down to 30 km, from there it just sort of lurches to a stop.

Try cleaning the rotors with brake cleaner spray and scotchbrite pads(careful not to let any drip onto tires!), and then follow up by scuffing the rotors with #400 sandpaper.

Dija clean and re-lube the slider pins when you changed pads ??

i'll clean the disk, as you suggest. which pins do you refer to? the one that threads in towards the back of the caliper to hold in the disk pads?
