If the noise changes when you pull the clutch in, it's likely related to the clutch. I don't know that we have any sort of pilot bearing in there though that could cause that noise while engaged and go away when disengaged. A video of the noise would be greatly helpful if you could snag one for us to have a listen.

I ran it the chain was jumping all over the place ! awww broke out the old spaner wrench adj the slack test drove problem or noise i should say gone O ya sometimes it just takes someone like you to get the wheel turing thanks for your help .I sounds like your a honda tech if so any suggestions on my front end seems my forks are really soft tryed all kinds of adj with the screw just make it stiffer still bounces too much i her race tech makes a gold valve kit and new springs just a little to much for my wallet as of know do you think using a thicker oil would help take care of this problem only 8000 miles 04 let me know what you think again thanks for getting me thinking

I don't think just the oil will make much difference. You'll prob at least want stiffer springs if you weigh more than 160ish. I did go with the Racetech valves and all but I think there are middle of the road options.

Yes, what Reg said, probably need stiffer springs, and the gold valve is an excellent addition to control that new heavier spring's motion. I appreciate the compliment, but I'm no Honda tech. I'm a GM tech by profession and an amateur motorcycle tech.

The suspension is woefully underdone on these heavy girls unfortunately, even my lil ass (135) needs heavier suspension!!!! Luckily, there are lots of cost effective options, and still many more not so cost effective options out there to stiffen up the suspenders on these girls. Many good threads here about multiple different mods to upgrade the suspension.

Racetech has a chart on their site to calculate your springs. For the valves I would call them and see what they reccomend.
