Somehow, my gauge must be working intermittently, because when I grounded it, the needle moved. So I replaced the temp sensor that threads into the radiator. Refilled with coolant, resivoir too. The coolant level is perfect. Some how the gauge isn't working now. I'm thinking that the gauge died since the test and sensor replacement.

Now I don't know what to do, don't want to drop big money on this.

You got the wrong end of the stick, Bunky !! Sensor on radiator is not the sender to the gauge. (Why don't people study their service manuals ??)

Intermittant usually means a dirty ground connection or loose wire at the sending unit, which is part of the thermostat housing.

I thought this forum's purpose was to interact with each other. I did read the service manual. Dealership told me to replace the aforesaid part. I apologize for bothering you with my concern. Hey, at least I didn't start a new thread.

    P.s. I'm not a mechanic.

Seems like your dealer isn't a mechanic either !??

Unless you complained about overheating due to a non-operative fan there would be no good reason to replace the radiator switch.
