Anyone ever try put the newer 800X heated grips on 6th GEN? I know it's not the cheapest (in fact it seems to be the most expense option) but I'm an OEM freak. The newer grip are thinner and have the indicator light at the base of the left grip. A Honda dealer said it should work. Again I KNOW there is a ton of much much cheaper and easier options. This is more of a 'because I just want to' idea. I plan to give it a shot later in the year.

It is nice and original.........I know several members here have done it. Are you trying to install them yourself?

Yeah, I plan to do it myself. The dealership told me it may take a little rewiring; not sure what they mean "little". Open to any tips and pictures. Thanks.

I used Oxford grip, the wiring should be the same. What you need to do is find a positive with a relay, power on only if you turn on the inigtion. Let me search if I can find some post for you. I also used fuse box so that a whole different story :) BRB

Not yet maybe in a few weeks. I still have another 5 months before I will need them over here. I'm just getting all my research done so I can sit down and knock it out in one shot. I'll definitely post all the details when I go for it. I'm installing a powerlet outlet (left panel PN:pKT-025) later this week. Lately I've been using the tomtom app on the iphone but it drains the battery... more so when using the moving map display.

PS: San Diego... I'm so envious. I was just in Carlsbad Village vacationing / visiting friends last month. Love that area!!! Had a killer Mahi taco at Harbor Fish Cafe at the beach off of Carlsbad Blvd while watching so many nice bikes going up and down I guessing the PCH route.

I saw your inventory and it is similar to mine .....hahaha guess we have a great taste. Carlsbad is a nice area, I used to live a few miles from there. I am thinking of Alaska as well so hit me up or PM me instead of Hi jack this threat.
