Ok so have a look at this picture and you get two gueses (but the first one doesn't count) as to what made this dent.

That's the second VFR tank I've seen modified like that by some poor fellers pecker, looks like he won't be groovin right for a long time comin. Speedy recovery to him, looks like it hurt him and the bike pretty bad.

 

That's why I always go ATGOMB, all the gear on my balls.

Perhaps we need an air bag to protect........well......."the bag" LOL!!!

Just for the record, this fella is still functional apparently as he has a one month old son but it is a wonder how that is possible when you see the depth of the dent his jewels left in the tank.

 

I know a shop that can hydro form that out for ya, but maybe you might want to just have it made more symetrical. I've heard of a hard ass before, but this deffinatly makes you wonder about the "man of steel".

 

Yah I'm debating on a few options for the tank repair. I also have another tank which was installed without the vent hooked up so it sucked the sides in a bit which is a crying shame really. They are both 25 anniversary tanks too. But right now I just want to get her together so she runs and then the cosmetics will be addressed.

 

Or just buy a brand new one for $483
