Finally found the time to install the HID light kit I grabbed from Tightwad and the switchbacks from AutoIllumination. Also grabbed some clear lenses. The amount of light that is thrown down range is mind blowing. Seeing all that light and remembering its running at 35 watts is crazy. $135 and 2hrs of my time, it was well worth it and should have done it a long time ago. I went with switchback LEDs in the front and standard LEDs in the rear. I'll shoot a night video later this week with the GoPro.

Also made a trip down to Ride Into History at the World Golf Village in St.Augustine, FL. Living in Jacksonville it was just a short ride. Every year more and more Hondas dominate the event. Check out the gallery linked at the bottom.

That looks fantastic!!!!!! Makes me want clear blinker lens' even more. Can't wait for more details on your turn signal mods, may have to add that to the list.

I don't know if they are all like this, but the HID's I installed on mine (Nova's) have a small glitch. If you have your high beams turned on while you start the bike, you may blow the fuse. WHen these are warmed up they draw little power but while warming up, they draw lots. Make sure your high beams are off when you start up. Let the lows warm up first. Only 15 - 20 seconds, before you hit the highs.

I have had some inquiries on the mod so I'll just paste what I told to a member.

"Go to PowersportsPlus.com - OEM Powersports Parts from Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha at discounts up to 80% off MSRP. Search for part 33410-MCW-K01 and 33460-MCW-K01. That's your left and right clear globe from a 2006. Just pop off the old socket backing and pop it on the new set. In 2006 Honda changed the socket dimensions. Takes 30 seconds and a few torn finger nails.

$27 a pop. Not sure if the 5% discount code still works but try it on checkout. Type in "meetsister" no spaces. Bought mine 2 months ago so I'm not sure if it still works.

Here are the LEDs Tail Lights LED Flashing

Used the 48 LED Tower white/amber tower, 7443. There is something in the video that you dont see. I wanted the high flash rate so i didn't install a resistor like most people do. If you don't install one there will be a half second delay on one of the LEDs when switching back from turn signal to running light. Only does it on the right side. It will turn off completely for a half second then go to white. Since it happens so fast Im fine with it. Don't use my blinkers as much as I should anyways. You can buy the in-line resistors on the site."

Thanks or the tip. I'd rather not test it out, haha.

Finally, a night ride with the new lights and running light/blinker mod. GoPros are crap at night. I see what everyone was talking about concerning the light scatter from the HIDs. But whatever, it's not that bad and I hardly notice it.

Very nice, looks like daytime  I see a small dark area directly ahead of you, may just be camera angle though. Do you have any problems with up close vision now or is that dark spot only noticable from the video?

Only noticeable from the video. It's definitely brighter in person. It definitely turns night to day. High beams are rendered useless. Throughout the video I was flicking the high beam switch. Couldn't notice shit.
