Hi.l'm an owner of a 1992 VFR750F that has been imported from
japan. Some of the restrictions were removed by the previous owners ,
however it still goes only 200kph. I've read that most of the owners
of the US an EU versions manage to get it to 160-165 mph, which is
about 260-270 kph. I'd like to remove thvese japanese power
restrictions but I don't have any idea on what to do and there's not
much to read on the internet regarding jap-spec vfr. I'd appreciate
    any information on this topic.
    Thanks

Well, only 2 things can do that, the ECU or the carbs. Try switching these out with US 3rd gen models and see what happens.

WOW. My 3rd gen must be getting real tired as there is no way it will do anywhere near 260km/h. Goes well to about 200 and then struggles to 230 at the very best.

Without fairings, I'm not surprised. Your body is a HUGE wind brake.

My 4G (1996) has seen 140+ mph (~230km/h) several times, and was still pulling.

With the stock gearing and stock motor, these bikes top out (redline/gearing wise) at ~155mph (~250km/h), IIRC.

My Gen 3 bike does 150 mph flat out still. I dont go that fast very often but evey time the bike goes out it does hit 120 MPH or so for a little while, then comfortably cruises at 110 all day long...

No viffer will do 165 unless its Toe-Cutters Super-Charged RWB bikie...

Even when it had the fairings 240 was the very best it would do, it does have 140 000km on it so i guess that helps.
