Who said anything about me being in the back??? Oh yeah, everyone else who goes to R3... :pout: I'll save a space for you. At least I won't have to pick up crusty's bike parts this time.

Thanks. Likewise, I was inspired by some impressive builds others have done here and kind of forced me to step up my game a little on this one. Best of luck with your project!

I am very pleased and proud - but knowing now what it took to complete, I wouldn't do it again either. The project got much bigger than I originally anticipated but failure wasn't an option.

The good news is; Even though I blew my budget right out of the water, I did not put more into the bike than what a stock low miles 5th gen sells for on Craigslist. This is my number one rule on projects.

Many thanks guys and I appreciate you chiming in

Rides fantastic! I also ordered the 6gen Givi mount to go with the parts you sent so I'll be geared up for multi day touring soon.

I would never attempt a project of this complexity, as I don't know I'd be able to finish it to my own satisfaction. This is a fantastic piece of work, a truly unique machine, well done lad. Thanks for sharing the journey and the result!

Being possibly the only one of its kind there will be some kinks to work out. Since you used a sixth gen tank I imagine the ergos associated with the subframe/seat position won't be dramatically different from a sixth gen. I see you addressing the lack of heat shielding in places with header wrap, something that you may have to keep a close eye on as you get some miles along. You've become a motorcycle manufacturer now heehee. Curious how it will feel at speed, turn in, heavy braking, etc.

With about 400 miles on it so far, no complaints. I'd be surprised if the ergo wasn't about as close to 6gen as a guy can get without buying one. I've rode in mid 80's temps and heat situation has been great. The exposed pipes and brake master are probably my favorite part of the whole build.

Long list of things that still need perfecting. I'd like to get another inner fender a trim it down a little different. The first thing on the list is customizing the seat for cosmetics and my ass. The seat will likely make a straight line from the rear fender to where it meets the tank to help cover the battery etc.

A set of brake lines are coming so I can get the front braided lines fabricated to match the rear.

A more permenant mount is needed for the ecu and I can install the inner plastic around the steering stem.
