    ^ Awesome!

It's a great way to become a better safer rider. Just one day will improve your skills. You don't need a track bike either, just a safe bike with decent tires and brake pads. Tape up the lights and you're ready to go. Gear is generally available for rent so you don't have to invest $500 in a full set up.

Yup, it sure does make one a better rider. Way better than most can imagine.

I normally ride NJMP and occasionally Summit Point. I ahve been to VIR, but it is far and four days from home stresses the wife some. With two kids and a busy schedule, I try and stick closer to home.

I am signed up for Penguin Roadracing School on May 7 and a Absolute Cycles trackday on May 16, both at NJMP-Thunderbolt. Also looking at a June 22 trackday with NESBA at NJMP.

I sold my VFR to fund the race bike I know have because I got into trackdays LOL! Most of the time, its the only riding I do.

If you can come out for any dates, keep me posted :)

    Just be careful...

I did 8 track days and a trip to California Superbike School in 2009. In 2010 I did 1 /2 track days.

Eh, it was rider error. In my opinion track days are safer than riding on the street.

Nobody I have talked to that has done a track day has ever told me that they wish they would have waited. Not one.

I want to go trust me. I ride with hot rakes from time to time and have a lot of fun.
Thanks smiley .. My guesses that it is probably much much safer than street riding.
No cars, no driveways, road kill, no trees, debris, piles of sand or gravel, etc.

I'm always at the track. Nesba's schedule didn't jive with mine this year unfortunately. Track Tactics, TPM, and Motorcyclexcitement events are about all I can do. Along with a little CCS and WERA. Sucks trying to save annual leave at work but gotta stick it out.

BP- don't make me come pick you up! Monday, August 6th, VIR, Track Tactics. Be there! And we'll be able to ride together all day long.

Do I need to remove my center stand ?

I need to loose weight so I can fit stem leathers.

Probably not for novice, or whatever they call novice with the particular track day org. You need to check the rules to be certain. With Sportbike Track Time you can run a center stand in novice and intermediate.

Don't even get me started on losing weight. I am quite rotund. If they hadn't cut my suit off of me it would not fit now anyway. Ha!

Centerstand is fine, as long as it doesn't drag which it doesn't. Exhaust drags first on right side, sidestand on left side.

I've got some Joe Rocket leather track pants, wait, didn't you try them on before?

Everyone is going the same direction, big runoff areas, no cops or speeding tickets. If you or anyone else acts like an idiot they get sent home.

Real life should be more like track days.

Yeah I tried them on. I should just buy them off you already. I need something better than jeans for taking high speed corners.

Ill trust your judgement HB since you ride track and have ridden with me. I really want at least a day at the track.
I can only assume that it will help my riding.

I've gone a few times and went to the the CSBS at Willow Springs, but that was quite a few years ago! It definitely was worth it. I planned to do some this year but Uncle Sam took a good chunk of change from me this tax season! Hopefully I can recover and at least do one day in the early summer. I have all the gear so that parts covered.

You should come up Memorial Day weekend and watch the races at Summit. Get a feel for everything, hell, bring a tent and we'll have a good time. There's also Beaverrun May 5-6. Matt is going...

Both sound good. I'll have to see what my schedule will permit.
