whats your sport?

alright wanted to start this thread to see what else everyone on here had in common besides riding vfr's. whats your fav sport or what do you play? I've been playing soccer for as long as i can remember and training mma for about 13 years now. i watch almost all sports. hockey, basketball,football, soccer, mma. so what do u do.. p.s nascar,golf,bowling don't count as sports lol

 

Hockey, live it love it play it.. like Hzaza i like to watch just about anything but i would rather play it... in the summer im in alot of leagues; Ultimate Frisbee, soccer, flag football, and im part of a local rock climbing club... but in the winter im 100% devoted to hockey

 

I currently play hockey, tennis, and golf. I picked up hockey when I went to college and haven't looked back. Since then I have won 4 championships, and played in 5 championship games. I played baseball in high school and went to a D3 school and walked on for baseball. In winter practice I felt something tear in my pitching arm and that was my baseball career. I focused on hockey after that.

On tv I watch football, college and pro. I usually watch the Blue Jackets and whatever the sunday nbc NHL game of the week is. And I watch baseball on tv too. I will go watch anythimg live, even soccer and basketball, which I hate on tv.

Btw... I dare you to walk uo to Tiger Woods and tell him that golf isnt a sport. Its in the summer olympics.... Its a sport...

Motorcycling,bicycling and weightlifting are my other faves.

 

Carolina Hurricanes hockey. They suck this year but hey gotta take the bad with the good. Have had season tickets since 2000-2001 season.

 

porkchop.. did you play hockey in college? if so where... i play for the UMD Bulldogs.. we a re kicking ass this season.. one of our best in some time.. tho i cant say so much for the MN Wild lol.. they had an awesome start to the season and now we can win a game to save our life..

I like to watch hockey (NJ Devils fan, so BOOO to Y2K Viffer!) and football. I'm a Cowboys fan. That's right, I said it. And have been since 1976.

As for participation in sports, I fish. I enjoy every kind of fishing, but prefer bass the most, including tournament fishing. I've fished anywhere from Canada to CA to Florida to South America.

love watching NFL when I can..Bodysurfing and bodyboarding is fun when I can. Had a good time watching Seattle Sounders play when I was living in Seattle - as well as Huskies football. Fuck WAZZU! LOL

 

Getting back into playing baseball, just got picked up by a team last weekend. Was supposed to play this past sunday, but was rained out. Can wait to get back on the field.

 

Alot of hockey players n fans, I live in rhode island so obv a bruins fan, bball its lakers, football arizona cardinals and soccer I have too many teams to list lol

Truth be told, I'm not much of a bank fisherman hanging out with beers and bobbers.

As far as randomness of a bite versus skill? Well, as the old saying goes, I'd rather be lucky than good. But sometimes you have to make your own luck. There are always items that come into play that might help "trigger" the randomness of getting a bite; barometric pressure, water temps, depth, fishing pressure, "matching the hatch", blah blah blah. So yes, sometimes it is just dumb luck, but oftentimes, not so much.

i play volleyball (chicks and beer? ok) with some golf and indoor soccer mixed in
i can be found at miller park way too many times during the baseball season and watch a lot of sports on tv which are in stadiums or on racetracks

No I didn't play college level puck. I started too late unfortunately. I just played club at OSU and now house.

I wish like hell I could play again. Since my shoulder injury my pitching arm has atrophied so much I can barely pitch mid-70's anymore. Plus with the shoulder issues, I cannot pitch full 12 o'clock overhand anymore. I naturally throw at 3/4 now. Plus I havent seen a live pitch at bat in 6 years, so I'd be fucked versus anybody throwing anything over 75.

I train on and off in martial arts. I also enjoy time at the beach or in the bush...

The only sport I watch on TV is Rugby League (occassionally) and UFC... (ALWAYS)
