What's clicking all about??

Hi all,

2007 800. 6,630 miles. When cracking the throttle open from idol, I hear a clicking sound, two clicks. Click….Click. The clicks are about a half second apart. Clicks appear to be coming from under the gas tank. Air box? I did not notice this until about two weeks ago, but since I wear ear protection, and half deaf, the bike may have been doing this all along. Any ideas?? Thanks.

 

So does mine 08 plate, I've only just bought it so can't confirm whether it's supposed to do that.

Hopefully someone else might be able to shed some light on the subject.

Mine has been doing that since I can remember, maybe since new. I have 150.000 km or about 90,000 miles. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it.
