What do you mean by clocks?
I assume you mean something other than a clock that tells you the time???

Just unplug the two connecters, it will run normally. What are you trying to accomplish?

Dear innocent fool, you really are an innocent fool: the clocks are the instruments mounted in front of the rider behind the front fairing of a motorcycle. In the motorcycling world, they are generally referred to as clocks. Please refrain from engaging in pointless conversation with me. Rather comment on less technical issues seeing that you don't even know what clocks means.
Dear Tinkerin: If it was as simple as you claim, I would not have posted this question. Clocks plugged in, the bike ran. Clocks not plugged in, the bike would not start. Hence my question. Again I stress, If you want to engage in pointless banter than comment on someone's project bike or ride report. A friend is building a street fighter custom and has no clocks. I cannot make it any simpler for you.

Well fuck off and find your answer elsewhere then. I am currently going through extensive wiring harness overhaul and relocation of components on my project bike and have run it without your clocks plugged in several times. Some things are different on European bikes like the ECU etc and I would have been glad to consult a wiring schematic on your behalf to help you out.

But considering you are more interested in thumping your internet chest - fuck off and find your answer elsewhere.

telling me to "fuck off" is very rude and he should be banned from this forum
I never swore or insulted anyone
It must be an American thing or something because I don't know why I got sworn at. I'd climb over a table and knock your lights out if you were man enough to say that to my face.

Your lack of profanity does not make you any less rude. I suggest you learn from this experience the next time you are looking for assistance.

In your words - I don't know if I can make it simpler for you.

    Good day

This entire paragraph is rude FYI. Not that I give a shit. Rude is rude whther profanity is involved or not. I don't ban people for being rude. I don't ban people for anything really except spam.

Let just say for arguments sake you were a site owner of an active motorcycling community and you have person A and person B.

[IMG] Person A has posted 27 times, been thanked for a post 1 time, and never thanked anyone for a single post.

[IMG] Person B has posted 4,865 times, thanked 152 people for something they posted that he felt was helpful, and been thanked by others 323 times.

Now, which one would you ban again?

First yes the "clocks" can be disconnected and the bike will run, that being said some countries require that the instruments be included in the run circuit to prevent riders from removing them. Get your schematic for your country and look it up. Second, you have two honda vf bikes on your rides list, which one? you should always tell us which bike and the year so we can give competent information and include a discription longer than "please help". As you said in your retort to Tink, "A friend is building a street fighter custom and has no clocks. I cannot make it any simpler for you" You never said what you needed help with in any detail. so your whole post has become in your own words "pointless banter". Lastly your on a forum for riders of all walks of life, posting things like: "Please refrain from engaging in pointless conversation with me. Rather comment on less technical issues seeing that you don't even know what clocks means." just prooves your ignorance.

Keep in mind we at this forum are multi national, what terms you use in your area may not be used anywhere else. Eg. you used the term clocks, here in canada guages, cluster and instruments are normal. When in doubt posters will ask you to clairify your request by using the proper technical term for the part your talking about. We encourage sharing of knowledge and expertise, but we do so at our own descretion. Shutting someone down without even trying is like burning a stack of cash when your about to be bankrupt. Tink KNOWS the RC36 series.

I call on the mods to demand an apology before anyone helps this guy any more!

I can't not answer the question. Technical problems must be solved! Even if this guy does not deserve the answer, someone else may come across this thread and need it. I believe the simplest solution will be to find an eBay vendor who will ship out of country and get a US market ECU.

US ECU will even let you hook the clock connectors opposite and still run if you are so inclined or inept as I have been known to be at times.

Naw its simple as a pimple on the ass of a bull just brand that tucker in his pimple and he will never get a pimple there again bahahahah

Here it is there is a run circuit that is routed through the "CLOCKS" gauges that when disconnected it will not start. Just cut all the wires and get a wire nut and put them all together.

Now after u popped all the fuses just trace the Orange wires and splice u should ne good to go
