Hi all. My baby is losing power when it gets warm, after about a mile of running. Almost like its not firing on a cylinder, even though all the headers are hot. I've no clock /fairing etc as i sold them to streetfighter it ( 916 back end looks sweeeeeet!) so i dont have the fi light to check. What a clown i know!Any suggestions for a common fault would be nice. Done the plugs but no joy.:frown: Any common probs i should check?
    Yours desperately...
    Stapes.

use a 12v test light on the wire that would have gone to the FI indicator light

you mean to count the flashes on the test light and compare to the codes?

right on. That's what I meant. 12v test light will serve the same purpose and allow checking for codes stored in the ECU.

Much simpler than chasing down hunches.

Looks to be a white wire with a blue stripe on what would have been the Gray connector that plugged into the back of the gauges.

use the search function on youtube to find "reading FI codes on Honda VFR"

that's what I figured but I thought I'd clarify just in case we weren't all on the same page. ;)

Bad sensor ?? Gotta love FI, Bunky ! FI saved the riding world from all fueling problems forever.

Seriously, if it is quitting one one cylinder only, you need to determine which one b4 finding a fix.

Likely. But you need to get into the F I light circuit so the computer can tell you where to start looking
