    Clear signal light covers

Looks like the latest version comes with clear signal light covers so they should be available from Honda...although at I'm sure a very scary price.

    Where to get?

I've been looking for that tail light conversion kit online for some time now. Does anyone know where to get one in the US? I found a site with pictures of that all over it, but it's in French... I'm lookng to put it on a 2006 VFR. Black.

Yep. I got it from http://www.freestreetdesign.com/ for around $350. Everything except for signal lights are LED.. It's a very nice set.. Worth it if you want to look different.

But if we all got it, then it wouldn't be different, would it?

    licence plate lighting?

Does that sweet undertail illuminate the tag (plate) at all? Maybe not be a Euro requirement but it probably is here in North America.

odd, that website doesn't have a listing for the 98-01 tail. The Euro version is different :(

    what i learned

this is my first post on here so hello everyone.
I have been searching to see if a light swap had been done. i just bought a silver 03 as well and swaped out the lights with newer style. This is what I learned. It looks sweet on the sliver (i love it). BUT know that if you go with the factory clear lights (cost about $450 for the lenses and bulbs alone )you will also need to buy the sockets for the front and rear TURN signals as the light socket is different the brake lights sockets are fine. AND you will need to modify the wiring for the turn signals because the way the wiring connects to the light socket is different (the prongs are different).

total costs as I remember (prices may not be exact)
2 front turn signals $30 each
    1 rear light assembly $350
    4 bulbs $4 each
    4 light sockets $9 each
look of the bike afterwards priceless (sorry had to throw that one in there)

    Ordering a tail

I have been talking to freestreetdesign.com and until the end or January they are having a 15% off sale on these tail light kits. (If you would like to see more pictures, there are six total on their page. Click 'Honda' on the left menu then tail light.

Before people had been saying that these would go for around $350. Franck at FSD is selling them (painted) for about $277 USD after the conversion from Euros; cheaper if unpainted.

If anyone out there is interested, I will be ordering one of these in the next few days. If there is more than one of us ordering tail kits, we may be able to get them even cheaper. Let me know if you are interested.
