Anyone have any experience with this?

Nelson Rigg AR-400 Arctic 1 Piece Insulated Rain Suit :: MotorcycleGear.com

I know its a cheap suit, and doesn't offer any safety/crash protection, but that's no big deal as I'd wear it over my gear. I'm more interested in whether or not it helps keep you a little warmer. I wouldn't expect it to be waterproof, but for $50 I'm wondering if I give it try.

Thoughts? Should I just use the $50 to wipe my ass instead, because that's about what I'd be doing with my money?

No experience, but Motorcycle Super Store has several reviews on it. Might be a little iffy on sizing and durability. As is often the case, some loved it, some hated it.
Here's the Motorcycle Super Store link.

    Thanks Charles!

Most of the comments seem to be positive - the big question is just getting the size right. One guy says he's 5'8 and the small would fit somebody that was 6' 8", and then another says he's 6'3 and 280 and ordered a 4XL and it fits!

Based on those reviews, I'll probably just get it for the hell of it. Again, for $50 at Motorcycle Gear its hard to beat that price.

    So, I'm 6'2 and 240. That means I need the...???? :)

I saw that suit at MotorcycleGear.com too. If you get it let me know if its a cheap piece of crap or not. Cycle Gear sells their own branded crap more than anything else these days. I wouldn't touch that sh*t with a 10 foot pole.

I'm kinda disappointed with Cycle Gear myself, but I will say that I have bought a few Bilt items (CG House brand) and so far I have had no complaints. I have two different sets of gloves, warm weather and cold weather and some of their "Freeze Out" gear. Where my disappointment comes from is that they don't stock as much of the "other" brands as they used to, so it's hard to do a side by side comparison or far that matter an "in store" choice. I think they are trying to prevent people coming in and trying on the "good" stuff and then buying it elsewhere on the internet either for less or without the sales tax. I wouldn't dismiss the Bilt stuff without first checking it out though, they say they will take it back if it doesn't work or if you're not satisfied with it. A lot easier to do an in store swap or refund than over the internet in my opinion.

    Cheers

I ordered the suit. It arrived yesterday. Haven't had a chance to try it on yet, but it looks decent. For $50, even it it isn't great for riding, I could think of a hundred other outdoor uses for it, so either way, I'm sure I'll keep it.

I'll give it a full write once I try it on. Not that I'm any good with write ups, but I'll do what I can.
