Just curious if anyone has hand any problems raising there stock handle bars, as per pic. Ive notice it gives a little more height to help with comfort. Im going to Machine a spacer with a top and bottom notch when I have spare time at work to prevent any rotation etc. But for the mean time has anyone had any problems with the bars moving doing this, Note: I did re-toque the clamp blot to factory settings spec.

I have run mine up 1/4" above the fork top for two years and I.m still here.
Fear full at first but they have never moved. Big improvement in comfort for my stubby arms. Levers VFR 038 (Small).jpg

I had my stock bars like that for about a month and I raised my Heli bars like that when I got them. No problems. Just make sure you torque them correctly.

I have been told that the tabs on the bottom are for ease of assembly.
It does look freaky and I was very care full when I first started raising them.
In the stock position the downward angle was killing my wrists and putting my hands to sleep. I raised them up as high as I could limited by the fairing and pushed them forward which flattened the bars out. Now I can ride all day in full comfort.
I have been flamed from everyone that sees them.
I do wheelies and stoppies now with out a thought, they wont move.

Also made up some foot peg lowers as well, they are abit rough at need a polish and clean up and abit of tweaking, just copied the idea of a net picture, they are cheaper to buy if you were to add my hourly rate but didn't cost me anything .

I like those peg lowering blocks. It looks like you copied Busy Little Shop's design. He posts a lot over on VFRD. I bought a set of his and I really like them. Wish I had the set up to make my own, but given that I don't, I figure I am several thousand dollars ahead by buying them.

You could also weld on some indexing blocks onto the rings. They could weld on a Y shaped block that hangs down and fits into the slot in the clamp and around the indexing pin on the handlebar. Of course you wouldn't be able to rotate the bars anymore, so you would need to get your final location before considering something like that.

Your lowering blocks are a nice result. I sure do miss having a full size open bed lathe and knee mill laying around.

Lol sure did so I cant take credit for the idea, I noticed you can get them on ebay also about 58 pounds, tricky little suxers to make , Could of made them on the CNC mill but had to work it out as I went along sizes and dimensions.
