Well. My high tech new light as a popcron fart sleeping bag was shipped today. I should be able to fit the tent, tent footing pad and sleeping bag into a one of my saddle bags. Speaking of farts. Man it I fart in that tent, I am dead. One man little tent. Might melt. Or blow the zippers.

Well it looks like the wife and I are in! Just need to build up the wife's riding endurance before the big event. Plus get her some new riding gear.

I think some of the wives are glad to get rid of this bunch for a while. My wife will be stoked if more women show up. She says there's too much testosterone around during the event...

How far is it for you? My wife can handle about 150 miles before she just wants off. She doesn't ride me a ton, though.

Actually, we range in speed and usually end up with different subgroups so you can choose however you like to ride. Last year I even offered an alternate shorter route if someone wanted to really just cruise. If the group gets too big, we will break apart accordingly and meet up at lunch and other stops.

    ** ATTENTION **

You will need your M1, proof of insurance, and registration to cross the fort.

I will also make an alternate route that does not require official inspection. Do not worry, we have plenty of fun roads. You can google map it and see for yourself. You may even see parts of my bike on the road from previous years if you zoom in close enough.

According to Google maps from Anaheim to Atascadero it's ~230mi. My wife registers her discomfort in how long she can take the sparse accommodations. We did a benefit ride back in October and she lasted about an hour and a half before she needed to hop off. There wasn't many miles because of the slow speeds down PCH, but it was a long time to be on the back for her.

Quite a few years back we did a trip up to Santa Cruz on the Ducati, she handled it very well, but on the way back it got too much for her and now she doesn't like to ride on the Ducati anymore. I kinda like that a little, anytime I need some "me" time, I just say I'm taking the Duc out, and she typically doesn't ask if she can go. She likes the VFR though, especially now that I have the top case with back rest. We'll probably be taking some trips before R3 up to Malibu, down to San Diego, just enough for her to get her "sea legs" and not too long where she'll get tired of it.

It's this really nice rifle they used in WWII. It was a game changer for the Allies...Oh, he said M1 and Fort, I misunderstood. Just make sure you have your Motorcycle License.
