    Nice guys, congrats!

Should be ready for a track day or two toward the end of summer. Can't risk a wreck before my coast to coast. I got a flatbed we can comfortably put 6 bikes on, we should plan central coast invasion out at Willow.

SLOVFR, you work at VAS? I thought I've seen a 4th gen parked up front from time to time.

    Wow!
Congrats on the great day at the track! It looks like the seed is firmly planted and now I bet you think about it all the time eh. This is how it started for me and now I'm obsessed and don't care for street riding except to get a coffee once in a while. My next outing is at Road America in May and I'm already stoked to tear it up!!! I may sneak out to Blackhawk in April when the wife's not looking, he he. 41 and still a kid!

Once again, welcome to the track riding brotherhood!

Oh man, you described it. Already booked another track day in April. (cant think of a better way to spend Easter) Been thinking about a dedicated track bike too. Would hate to spill the VFR, but then i really love the compliments i get from whoopin' ass on a porky VFR. But at the same time i cant help but wonder what i could do with something smaller, lighter, and more powerful. ???
...and your right,..... i could really care less right now regarding ridding on the street. I thought the other day how i wont ride the street like i used to. I'll save it for the track where its safe, legal, and appreciated.

Here is a video that some other riders took. I met them at the end of the day and asked them to post up any video they might have of me out on the track. This is the only thing they got, and its not very good. Just as i pass the camera on my fairly decent pace, i run into a gaggle of traffic, and pretty much shut it down until the straights.

could they have any more patches in that track? Tori, like you i did not want to drop my VFR, so i went out and picked up an 06 1000RR for track use. At times i think i should have picked up the 600RR instead. I plan on doing a So. Cal. track day (live in Nor. Cal.) and will drop a post around the June, July time frame.

Yeah, i dont think i need a 1000cc's to get my 120 lbs around the track, but im not sure if a 600 is the bang im after. Guess a 750 is a safe bet.

Gee, I was thinking a ninja 250 or GS500 or VF 500 would be a fun track bike. Then you'd have to be better at finding lines and maxing out the bike. No large power to reply on. My choice would prob be the VF as back in it's day it was a great track bike, and plus they aren't too high, and mine sounds like a mean little bitch. I was just thinking the other day about stripping it down and making a track bike after you mentioned it. I'll have to wait and see if Jake wants it, though. I think he'll prob take it as he'll get it for free... Right now I have less than $500 in it so either way I go it's not a loss...

Yeah, but the power is nice to have. When some dooche-bag is in front of you blocking your line, its nice to just be able to put a throttle in between you and him on a straight. The big VFR was pullin' the 600's and some 1000's out of the corners. (mostly rider ability - not mine, but their lack of...)

Cool, my office is at the end of Via Estaban (the same building as Sue's if you eat there.) Been flying by Cole's on the Blackbird mostly lately, I just got the VFR going again the other night.
