Crankcase cover

    Got the crankcase and alternator cover off, new gaskets ready just 1 question
    Should I put thread lock on the bolts nothing in the manual. I assume I should but any comments ?

    If anything I usually put a tiny dab of anti-seize on the threads so those steel bolts won't seize up in that aluminum case.

    +1 on using a little anti-sieze and torque to spec.

    Actually a zinc-based anti seize is recommended for aluminum and steel applications. Copper destroys the Aluminum.
