Yesterday I received the Two Brothers M2 Black Series Aluminum exhaust I ordered. I plan on putting it on later tonight or tomorrow. I figured I would throw some pics up here to see what VFRWorld thinks.

So far I am extremely satisfied with the fit and finish of the system (Knock on wood the install goes as planned). I know the biggest grip that most have the TBR systems is that they route everything through the right canister only, and I share the WTF factor. But over the next couple weeks I will be making a connector pipe that will let me run both canisters (pics will follow accordingly).

This also means that I have the stock exhaust system sitting in my closet.

So if anyone is interested let me know.

Let me know what you guys & gals think!

So is the left side actually a exhaust pipe just like the right or is that a stash ? Don't know much about TBR, OH and the pics didn't post .

Isn't the other canister simply a storage capsule and not actually a muffler inside? Running a single exit saves weight and in most cases will actually make more power, especially since the stock system isn't true duals. Resplitting the exhaust is unecessary really... Nice looking kit though

I apologize for the pics, apparently I can't upload them correctly.

The left canister is functionally the same as the right. The mid-pipe is routed from the header to the right canister only, there is no "Y" connector that runs to the left canister.

Hello All

i did the same upgrade (Aluminum/Magnesium VALE M2 Slip-ons) to my 2007 VTEC VFR800 bike. They look awesome and the sound is amazing. I fitted the longer end of the exhaust towards the middle, thus having the TBR stickers to the outside of the bike.

A question to the OP, and to any one who has this rig: Do you notice a massive amount of heat on your right leg, near to the pipe coming up from the collector box?? Might be the lack of the heatshield though but it seems way hotter than the stock ones...

Then again, I've only had it for a couple of days.

Cheers! :tongue:

Wish I could answer your question. Right now its -17deg F outside! I installed the exhaust last night in my garage. It will be a few months :( before I get it out on the road.

@Goldy: Bought them from the USA, cost of them were U$630 shipped to my door (I live in Abbotsford, NSW). Found them on eBay on a store called Lanesplitter.

Check the video, its not the carbon fiber cans but the Magnesium/aluminium... I recall they had the carbon fiber ones for roughly $850???

check it here

You guys have to tell me why you would spend that kind of cash when you only get -what 3 more ponies--- why not just do a gut job ?? it cost me a whole $10 to do the job, ya it took patience but its well worth it-Sounds awesome

any dyno results to show if your gut hurt or helped performance?

it would be interesting to see if a gut exhaust had any real difference compared with an OEM and an aftermarket setup.

I really don't care much for Dyno charts or anything like that.... BUT a 6kg reduction in the worst place to have weight :ballchain: (high on the rear end) is a very good reason to do it (Weighted both the TBR package before install and the Standard exhaust after the work). I can tell the difference in the handling of the bike. However, I also would like to see a Dynochart of a Stock VFR800 VTEC vs one fitted with the TBR pipes, everything else stock. TBR doesn't have one on their website.

Plus, just gotta love the sound of the TBR pipes! :clap2:

@GreyVF750F
Thanks mate! I was hesitant to do it at first, but the end result is awesome. Besides, just took 4 hours, 3 buddies, 4 pizzas and 12 cans of beer to fit them :bluesbros:

@Guj
Excellent choice! Yesterday I went on an 800kms day ride over Bylong Valley. The power output (specially low-end torque) is great, though not a massive difference.

Cheers!

I think the stock exhaust is big, overly heavy, and not the best looking. Yeah, there are a couple ponies freed up, but if I was really looking for that much of a performance increase I would have started with a different bike. Just did it to customize it a bit, make it stand out from other VFR's, make it sound and look better, and shave off some weight.
So far I'm at 2. May be a shorter riding season, but I'd still rather live here than in 'SoCal'.

I agree, it would be interesting to see those results.

Thanks Chile, I'm happy with the TBR too.
