Are you aware of the project over at VFRD about GSXR and CBR1000RR mirrors with turn signals being adapted to VFR's? All you need is an adapter.

Just one of many possible ways to do it. I used Honda Blackbird mirrors myself.

I've read some threads about the other mirrors. Don't they all require a spacer or adapter of sort?

Adapter. One of the guys over at VFRD makes them. Bolt on all the way.

    One alternative.

Those adapters are now made of unobtanium. Any other ideas?

Someone on here drilled holes and mounted amber LED's in his mirrors and filled the holes with clear epoxy, I can't seem to find the thread though.

Again, over at VFRD, someone used clear plastic to make their spacers, with turn signals built in. Personally, those black spacers you see in my pic are Delryn, a tough plastic that sands and cuts well, can be buffed and painted. I formed them to fit my fairing mounts and holes and bolted the mirrors to them and the fairing.

Your bike, your choice. I THOUGHT about modding some BMW R1100S mirrors I have, but can't bring myslef to cut up the mirror cups.

Maybe some thick aluminum for the fairing and drilled to accept the new mirrors with signals built in would work.

    Just a few ideas.

I remember seeing something like that too. But what I remember is someone pouring a clear epoxy into a mould fitted with the amber L.E.D. lights and this mould became the spacer between the mirror's base and the faring. Acted like an extension with the added signal lights. I really liked that idea. If I ever feel industrious, I think I will try that one for mine but not likely this year.

I put the gixxer mirrors on mine. Made my own mounting adapters with scrap plastic from a local plastic shop. Turned out ok, even though I fucked them up because i was under time constraints for an upcoming ride. I'll be remaking them once I have my new garage set up.

Hey, Tink. Can you put up a pic of those just mounted straight onto the stock fairing location? I want to use the same ones, but would like to see just how different the base is, compared to stock.

Are those mirrors as long as the stockers?

quality appears to be good, especially for the price. Looks like they are about the same length as stock. I don't have any OEM 5th gen mirrors to compare to but could measure against my 3rd gen stock mirrors. I think they are the same.

I'll try to remember to get a pic of them against the fairing. I need to tweak my fairing stay anyway so it's no extra work. Just give me a day or two please.

Thurn also sells VFR compatible mirrors with built in signals.
Or if you want to go the add on route, Kissan sells add on mirror blinkers
