Hi, I'm Katelynn, I've been riding an 87 VFR700 since october of last year.

I'd like to tinker with my bike and whenever I search for help on the topics, I'm always directed here. So here I am, making a commitment.

I think it was the "tractor engine" signature that had me rolling. I know what you mean, man.

I have a lot of (most likely stupid) questions, and i'll sneak them in here and there, and probably get redirected to a lot of threads.

    Thanks a bunch!

There are no stupid questions here. You will find a very smart, delicate group here with lots of info that will help you along to what every you might want to find. I, alas, am not one of those. However, use the chat to get to a lot of quick answers. Otherwise, start a thread or bump the thread you just started. Good to have you aboard.

BTW: you are not too far from the Huge VFR grouping in Atascadero, Ca in May - ish. Just keep watching.

    Hey there and welcome. :welcome:

As a newer member I can attest to the welcoming nature of the group and I can also attest to the tongue-in-cheek nature as well.

You have found a great resource for keeping your VFR healthy and in good nick.

Welcome to the site. But be warned. Unlike what Marrib and McTabb have said, most of us are a very serious bunch. Far to much nonsence here at times I think. :funky:

But there is a great bunch here. I have enjoyed fantastic comraderie since "happening" along this site a few years back and have met some good friends as a result. At least I think they are friends. Marrib might send you a PM and dispute that. SFV I assume is San Fransisco. I rode through there last trip to Atascadero. Wife and I were there a few years back too. Nice city. Better then Kamsac Saskatchewan anyways.

Once you get used to the site, you will find the search engine a good tool especially in the Mechanics Garage for a lot of the issues you may come up with. The knowledge base here is great. I've relied on their opinions a lot here.

yeah, welcome to the site, and keep your eye out for R3-2012. My wife always appreciates if any other women are there as some of these guys are smelly and boring conversationalists. ;)

Its good to know the first welcoming to this forum came from Marrib. The same guy who has an avatar of some dude getting his nipple pinched.

Aloha, and Welcome to the site. I got my '87 VFR700F2 just about the same time as you.
It also is pearl white. Been really enjoying the ride and am getting to know it more on the
site. Lots of good people and info here. Done the stator to new R/R connector direct solder
mod from a post searched for. Working great now. Just a wealth of info here. Enjoy!

    LOL.

Now I might have to actually go in search of an avatar that's relevant.

I'm going to start with "boobs" and see where that leads me.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I was out and about all this weekend, good to be back cozied up!

Thanks! I've always been pretty handy at detailing cars- I was warned about waxing the sides of my tank though ;) I'll have to take new photos during the day of my babe.

Thats awesome to hear. i'm loving my bike as well, it has so much potential- I find it a bit heavy against my 6'1" - 125lb frame when i plop it on the ground though =[ Do you have a cover for it - and is it a medium or large? I have a few more questions about a few things... going to search for them first... then i'll be back!

    millz,

I would be more than happy to answer what ever questions you may have. Though there are a lot of "Gurus" on the site that are alot more knowledgeable.

I do use a cover, it came off a CBR600F1. Its a DOWCO, and a perfect fit. It looks really good on the centerstand. My Superhawk has a felt soft cover, but she's in the storage room awaitimg some mods.
She seems very happy on the Battery tender for now. Use the search function and ask questions.

    Welcome, and Ride Well...
