Hi, Im Tilts from South Wales UK, just bought myself a 86 VFR 750 this weekend, had one about 10 years ago, and have ridden many other bikes since, but the VFR still holds close to my heart, so I bought another:cool:

Cheers Stosh, yeah, not bad for 43000 miles, different exhaust system, off a Gsxer 1000, sound nice. The little blue thing, is a Road Tax Disc, yet another tax on the poor from the powers above... runs out June 2012.

    Cool Blue.

Just the can right? Because that midpipe work looks custom to me.

Gotta tell you you're a lucky dog Tilts because those all Blue 2nd gen. bikes are just so freakin' cool!

I could count the number of all Blue 2nd gen. bikes that I've actually seen in person here in the States on one hand and still have a coupla fingers left over. They were fairly rare around here and I haven't seen one in years.

By the way I like the Blue windscreen too, used to run one on my old RWB '86 VFR700. :thumb:

Alright Twitchy, never seen one this colour before, the one I had a few year back was the same age but the pearl white, no where as near nice condition though.

    Thanks,

bit of a mad story how I came across to by the bike. I set off Christmas Eve to pick a 1991 KDX 250 that I bough off Fleabay, the guy assured me that the bike was mint, and would not disappointed. left my house at 05:00am and a 320 mile round trip, arrived at the house, he opened the garage door, first thing i noticed about the bike was the corroded fork stantion , . it was fooked, it hit the roof, and left very sharply before i ended up spending my Christmas holiday in the nick. So drove home, stopped off at a local supermarket to by myself a nice Scotch Malt Whiskey...(Aberlour) and had a quick scan on the phone, and found the VFR 10 miles from where I live!! The guy I bought it from is a well known bike mechanic, who bought it from a famous West End/Broadway singer, doing Phantom of The Opera..i'll find out his name... The Midpipe work is custom, all new sleeves, and powder coated.. has a mean rasp to it.. Was going to go out for a spin today, but insurance office shut, due to Bank Holiday. The VFR is also an Import, not sure where from, somewhere warm, as most of the older UK bikes have been rotted out by tons of bloody salt on the roads through out the winter months....

He posts up a photo right off, likes single malt. and VFR's. what a man. The wife and I had a nice visit over there last summer. Stopped for a bit in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. The tour guide started giving us lessons on the pronunciation of the name a good 1/2 hour before we arrived. Most of the tour did OK. I kept choking on my tongue. I sent myself a post card from there with a return address on int. Started getting it end of August and it is still coming.

Welcome to the site. ANd yes, a very cool colour.

Mentioning another forum on here requires that you send all VFRW forum members a beer.

Welcome aboard and nice looking ride.

I drink Granveille Island Brocton Indian Pale Ale. Beer is so hoppy it tastes like you are cheing on the hopps. But we drink ours cold over here. like COLD. Almost freezing. Comes out of the filling machine into the bottles at 37 F. which is just about the right temp.

Yeah, been to Orange County a few years back, and sampled some of your so called beer, not bad, but not as good as the European stuff. And whats with chucking monkey nut shells all over the floor...

Happy New Year bro's, be safe, and I hope to post some ride reports and pics as soon as the British weather improves, maybe a long wait.

Oh, had a an accident with your beer...

I've been there too. Yeah, thatComparing that beer right there, with my locally brewed British Columbian Ale is like comparing a Mazaratti to a Chevy Belair. That stuff is not bad to clean your lates paint brushes. Clean water is getting expensive you know.
