Well could not wait till new year, a big white van pulled up on wensday with my fl 750 inside, the wifey got it delivered to me ,bless her cotton socks. What a bike ,took it out for a 40 mile run, pulls like a train ,felt the front wheel lift in 2 gear,so eased of a bit from there. This bike just simply wafts pass lesser vehicles ,the first sharp corner felt the tail end moving around ,stoped at a garage 13lbs on the rear so pumped her up to 42lbs ,no more trouble there. For 22 YEAR OLD BIKE she is as tight as a nut ,comfortable ,powerful and sure footed, 100mph arrives very quickly indeed. That v4 engine is pure sex on a stick, gear change is smooth and slick. Took a bit getting used to slower turn in than the cb500 .Now i know why vfr owners would rather divorce their wifes and go to mars than part with their v4s . I totally love it what can i say its a quality machine and lasts forever, love it love it ,intend to do some serious touring this year on the trusty steed.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

A beauty, and your excitement is huge ! You may have learned a valuable lesson: NEVER ever assume that tyre pressures are anywhere near proper on a bike you just hopped aboard.

Yep, mine still is sweet too. I dont know about divorcing the wife though, my viffer is still my mistress dressed in black and my wife knows it and accepts it. My mom loves my bike too, talk about some incestuous twisted story  Wont get into all the sordid details, my bike beats dah wife by 15 years!

Mine still hauls arse too...See pictures under 3rd Generation pictures.

AH you crazy nut my wife is 14 years younger than me , more sense to lol , im nearly 49 is that old lol ,she worries all the time when i am out on the bike ,mind you im not a bornagain rider, glad i waited till now though ,think if i did this when i was 16 i would be dead by now lol. I think all riders are prepared to have a smash if not time to stop riding, mind you your last crash could be it ,yes im enjoying it but aware every car driver out there is trying to kill you. MADE a mistake today overtaking car coming towards me ,overtook giving power if it was the cb just turn in , the vfr was gathering speed so quickly forgot to lean over , pushed the bar at the last moment , got in ok but will be more decisive in future.:biggrin:

It should stay, and never leave. Sorry Toe,just my opinion. :sorry:

I'm a big fan of color matched seats. They're unique, and they make the color scheme on the bike flow nicely from front to back.

    BTW-Congratulations lmbo,nice bike.

    the red seat

Ok, will keep the seat but will get a black one for interchanging , shes very origional ,even the black engine paint is perfect, was checking old mot certificates on her ,in 15 years she only covered 5000 milesthe past 7 years only 8000 miles . there is a crack on the rear side fairing so will be buying a new one of those ,comes painted for 75 quid . there is a few stone chips on the front fairing ,so will get a full professional repaint later this year ,cost probaly 500 pounds. now should i go for the decals , v4 camgears etc or keep her origional with the vfr logo only on the front fairings.:smile::smile:
