Congrats! You are lucky to own one of mother Honda's finest machines! Be extremely careful with her as parts (especially bodywork) are very hard to come across. Enjoy the V4 growl and cam gear whine!!

its the one with the red seat ,may have to change it to a black one, the bike is very origional ,there is a few stone chips on the fairing ,but she will get a full restoration paint job in the summer fairing engine block etc, as the bike is classic think i will need a round around for commuting to work, wish i had not sold the cb5s she was a tremdous bike and very realiable. See below THE TALLENTED MR RIPPLEY CB500S

What kind of windscreen you got on that bike?
An air cooled twin like that is an excellent light mount for commuting duty and getting thru traffic, they didnt sell them here but I worked/rode one a while back. Not as good as my GPZ 500 but better build quality, (typical honda)
My viffer was an evolving project, now I hate to get caught in the rain with it  thats why I have my twin, plus I got a steal of a deal on it. Still gota let the girl stretch her legs once or twice a week.

I gota know about that shield so let me know

A belated Welcome. You better answer ridervfr before he has a hissy and declares war on Irland. I was over there last August and waved at you but you didn't wave back. Whats up with that?

Ah,the northern irish;some want to be irish, some want to be british. Me? I'm a bit of both if there is such a thing that catholic /protestant thing that caused such shite over here. Generally most of us are a happy bunch, sorry to hear you got a poor reception. There are arseholes everywhere you know. The windscreen on the VFR with the black seat is not mine, not sure what conversion it is. The windshield on the CB is part of the fairing on that model CB500s. So,tell me the viffer is my first big bike;what is it really like? I just love the look of the bike, plus all the rave reviews it got. OK . If any of you guys ever decide to come over ,i will meet you at the boat ,put you up for a couple of days ,show you the sites on a bike n give you a full ulster fry in the morning ,and get you blocked on the black stuff at night, how about that.

I am gona take you up on your offer!
The bike looks amazing standing still and when you fire it up its a blast, love that gear whine! I am biased as I have been through a lot of shit with it, its definately a super durable motorcycle. Love the V-Four what else? Great bike, after 21 years its still going strong.

    Rider.

When you go over there, if the long thin structure is made out of wood, it is a fence. If it is made out of iron or steel, it is a rail. If it is made out of stone it is a wall. They are so fuggen correct over there.

We luv you all Paddy. Can remember one of the first thoughts I had while I was going through the country side in a bus (or is it a coach) that i should have brought my bike. Just great roads and scenery over there.

You wont need a spare engine for that model. As far as bar risers go, just say, "No." My bike survived 30 degree Farenheit as well as as 100+ degrees.

Mine has been driven home 100 km at -10 C at freeway speed. But I kept it at about 100 kmh cause the wind through the helmet on the forehead was just so intense. And yeah, don't worry about the spare engine. I am over 140.000 km on mine and going strong.
