For the first 20 yrs of riding I averaged 6-11000 miles a year, actually the 7-8 months we get to ride around here. I picked up a 66 goat in 94 in CA. Brought it home and restored it. The bike basically sat 4 or 5yrs. The last 15 years my mileage varies from 500-5000 a year. Which basically includes one week trip a year of at least 1500 + miles. This year was only about 1500-2000 with no trip.

I do go out at times for a days putt of 2-300 miles of spirited back road riding. I've slowed up a bit in my old age. Don't like riding in 50ish degree weather or when it gets 85+ with 80+% humidity. So the goat gets a lot of attention. Except it's getting to costly to run the 400hp tri power motor I have in it. It dips in to single digit mileage with spirited foot use.

Well I don't want to get off topic here... Ahh fuck it. Every thread goes off topic. Even Toe's Supercharger is now all about Randy riding in the rain. But anyway, how about your own thread with a few pictures of that Goat, Grey. People have certainly posted pictures of cars way less deserving on this forum. Give us the run down on it. Don't be shy.

LIke the Tshirt say, Off Topic Happens!

I think we can all agree that it is much better that Randy likes goats than sheep.

I bought my 99 last august with less than 13,000 miles on it. I'm averaging right around 10,000 miles a year as the bike is just shy of 25,000 right now. Been debating picking up an ST1300. I knew I never should have rode one...

It doesn't take much property to own a goat but it cost a lot to feed!! Plus it squeals instead of baaaaaing. Mines like the brown one except it doesn't get up on the roof.

Well, fortunately I live in So Cal so its doesn't rain much. Even though lately its been freakin cold at 4am. I got my bike last year in Nov and actually started riding it on a daily basis in mid March. So far, a little over 30,000 miles/9-10 months. I'm glad I have a Honda!

Used to do consistent 10-12,000 mile years when I was up in NJ. I moved to FL and was down to 4000 a year in the beginning. Now, splitting between two bikes, I average 12-15,000 a year. I just did an oil change on my Jeep and it was 2000 miles in 4 months, so you know I am riding more than driving.

Thank you. It took national #2 in class at the largest Pontiac event in the country (Tri-Power Nats Norwalk Oh) back in 98. Since then I've put about 70k miles on it and rebuilt the motor again. Of course I wanted more power. Being from CA it had almost zero rust/corrosion on everything. It was never mucked with before I got it, all original factory parts.

That's why the bike didn't get much mileage on it since 94. I'd like to ride out to the west coast this next coming year if I can find the money to do so. It would be at least a 5k miles and $2k trip. That would up my yearly mileage some. My daughter is in Sacramento.
