I couldn't help myself. I had to liven up the left side of the bike a bit. This carbon cover has a almost flat finish on it. Don't know if I like the flat finish more than the gloss yet. IMG_1320.jpg shaft drive cover on vfr.jpg

That looks great Dub. ...I'm a fan of the gloss finish myself (I think it's the perception that it's easier to clean). ...let me know if you're going to make some of these; if the price is affordable, I might just have to get one (I like your exhaust cover, but I already have an Akro, so ...no need). :)

    ...you do nice work sir!!!

    carbon parts

Thanks for the compliment. The next one I do I'll put a gloss finish on and post a pic or two.
I have a web site now for some of my bike parts that I make. The link is at the bottom of my post's, have a look!

Would you be able to clear these parts in a red candy clear? I have a red carbon fiber helmet.... these two CF parts of yours in a red candy clear could look very nice. I'm ready to order. How much are the parts?

I like it, flat finish especially. That cover was designed to make the rear wheel look "hubless" like the V4 concept that came before the bike.

If I buy some of those carbon fibre farkles for my 1200 and paint them to match, can I get some graphics that say" My stuff is Carbon Fibre and yours is shitty old plastic" ?

How bout we start with a minor point like tossing out those twisted up skivvies? We can then move on to the subject of carbon fibre farkles that add weight to an already fairly heavy bike. Not really a point, but an exercise in irony. Or, I could just edit my post and substitute "paint" for "chrome."

IMO the model Triumph for which CF parts are available is sufficiently elephantine as is.

Ah I see. Well.... my motivation has nothing to do with weight savings. that is not the priority at all, With 170 HP or whatever the bike has its completely irrelevant as far as I"m concerned.... its merely the aesthetic that appeals to me. Nothing more.

Its a nice looking piece that carbon fibre jack-shaft anti-drive cover. We used to have a saying for the ducati people that were in love with carbon, (and I dont wana get a rash of shate bashing gays, cause we never said it to their faces! gays are ok people, so there) we called em, "carbon queers."

If I could get one of those Aussie carbon fibre chain gaurds like the ones I have seen on some down & under bikes, I would spring for one possibly...Its all held on with two sided tape which kinda cheapens the whole carbon fibre experience imho. Kinda like going to a prostitute and well, use your imagination
