Started fitting fairings yesterday. I owe you all pictures. They're really not that bad. The paint is a bit thin, and holes are all undersized (easily enlarged with a Dremel). The yellow is much brighter than the stock tank color - but still looks pretty cool. Haven't quite figured out how the little black pieces go around/below the gauge housing yet, but figure once I study the micro-fiche it will make more sense.

Also picked up a very rough '95 VFR750. She runs great. Moriwaki can, mostly broken or missing plastics, but I think I'll resurrect her too.

Camera batteries were dead - put them on the charger and will snap pics/upload Monday a.m.

Still need front turn signals and a combination tail light for the '00 - any suggestions on where to find them? Don't see the turns on ebay...and the tail is pricey. Think I might as well go with an LED aftermarket piece (advice here would be good too).

Fairings fitted and mounted. Delkevic on. Have a slight leak at the right front header gasket - should replace it. Mirrors on. Stock seat sourced and inbound (Corbin or Sargent - forget what it is - will be for sale - missing passenger section). Taillight and turns will be ordered new (have a contact). Then I'm riding her!

Looking good. ...and if it's the seat in the photo you're selling, it's a Sargent. :)

Zenmoto - just looked and you're correct - Sargent.

Don't be fooled by the blurry photos guys. The fairings are NO WHERE NEAR Honda quality. Sure, they work, and since I wanted this bike for myself as a daily/long term rider - I wasn't concerned with perfection. I know better. However, the fit isn't perfect. Full review to come soon. Specifically, the nose fairing where it mates to the side fairings is pretty bad, and the inside black panels around the gauges too. I'm not complaining - I knew what I was getting when I paid for them. Way better than a naked VFR, but if stock fairings are a 10 - these get a 7 or so. I believe all of the Chinese sellers are basically selling the same stuff, and I can't exactly recommend this one (yet) as they've yet to respond to my query on why the nose fairing paint is so thin, and what they're going to do about it. They offered to send me a rattle can and paint brush, lol!

A bit of time has passed...but she's registered and riding. Rode her home tonight for the first time. Fresh tires and brakes. I'm in love - this is a great ride. Only about 50 miles on her today....hoping for 100+ tomorrow.

Sounds like you do have the front part of the Sargent two piece seat. The good thing
about that seat is that with a seat cowl over the passenger space you will have some
nice storage area. If you want to take a passenger, of course, you can contact
Sargent and get the passenger seat. Just be sure to tell them the seat trim color.
5th generation bikes are well worth the effort. Be sure to do the famous
    regulator/stator mods.

There will be another. Wasn't an easy decision, however, since I have a nicely sorted 6th gen (ohlins, bags, gps mount, etc.) at my disposal, miss-viffer had to be cut this time.

Sorry for the thread dig and posting before a proper intro but I want to save that for when I have pics of my completed bike.
I am wondering if wildwhl has any tips for mounting the Chinese fairings that I have en route. I have heard laying down a bit more plastic on the tabs help them from snapping?
Any other tips or tricks you might be able to share?

    Cheers, Ben.

Been busy a while. Machining parts, riding the NC24 most of the summer (see, I never left the VFRWorld really) and working on my Hawk's, -1 and others. Looks like a 6th gen might be in my very near future - thinking of letting the '04 SP2 go.

Hope all is well in VFR land.
