New owner question

    After months of reading the forums and deliberation.I picked up a 07 Candy Red VFR on Saturday.I got all the parts with the bike;seat cowl,grab rail covers.But I also have two black flat pieces of plastic and don't have a clue of where they go or if they even go on the bike.I'll post some pics soon.

    My bike is older, but they look to me like they go on the inside of where the mirrors attach, just there to cover up the bolts and make it look nicer inside the windscreen.

    they look like the plastic covers that cover the bolts that hold the wind screen on.

    just replaced my windsreen on weekend , your dealer ethier gave you an extra set or they were sloppy should only see one phillips head ataching windsreen on either side

    If the two black flat pieces you are talking about have a single hole....my bet is that they fill in the space when you take off the seat cowl and reinstall the large bolts on each side of the seat the plastic thingys slip down in that opening as a filler to reduce stress on the plastic when you tighten the bolts. At least that's the way it is done on the superfast 5th generation machines.
