Would that have been a lot of work ya think? I mean, dimensionally?

The Honda VF45,65 and VF1000R/F share many parts.

The engine cases on the VF1000R/F are the same as the VF65 1100 except for the shaft drive bevel spiral gears.

The Honda Super Magna 750 engine cases and the and VF1100 will interchange.

The VF65 and VF1000R/F use the same carbs.

The clutches are the same on the VF1000R/F and VF1100
Caution, measure each and every part.
For instance the VF1000R clutch pressure spring (disc) is the same as the VF1100.

Don I know the vf750f engine is rotated backwards more than a 750 Magna engine. That's why the 16" front tire on the VF is to clear the front head.

I thought the VF1000F/R was the same as the VF750F and the V65 was like the 750 Magna with a more forward tilt engine case. Most other parts should be interchangeable.

The internals like crank from a 1000 will fit in a 750 case. I believe the stroke difference was in the rods. Always wanted to put a 1000 crank/rods in my 750 with 1mm over bore.

Right now I am in the assembly phase of the 1978 Honda CB750K cafe bike.

I actually bought a Honda Super Magna frame and swing arm and was going to put a VF1000R engine into that frame. The bolt holes lined up. I know the rear frame bolt holes were exactly the same.

But the frame I got had some damage so I destroyed it and never bought another one. So the project got put on the back burner.
I still have a Super Magna swing arm in perfect shape.

I wanted to do that so I could make the Super Magna with VF1000R engine and chain drive. Get rid of all that weight of those bevel gears, bearings, shafts, and rear "pumpkin".

Wow, kind of some misleading info here. The V65 (VF1100) and VF1000R engines are both Honda V4's but that's where the similarity ends. The whole V is tilted more forward on the 1100's. The engine cases aren't even close to being the same. The cranks rotate the opposite direction. And the list goes on!

Yes, the VF700F/VF750F engines are very similar to the VF1000's. Those are the ones that match up closely to each other.

I already admitted that i made a mistake on my original post.
The man in the video put a V65 1100 in the Super Magna. Shaft drive.
I was going to put a chain drive Vf1000R into the super Magna frame but did not complete the project.

All I know is people over the pond are nuts. Those "streets" are tiny especially for the speeds he was going in the wet! And he took horrible lines into just about every corner I watched.

Will a VF1000R case fit into a VF1000F frame and vise versa?
