Ok collectors. I know this is a VFR website but thought I would put the word out. I am selling one of my prized posessions. 2000 Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird with 4167 actual miles on the odometer. This bike could be on a dealer showroom floor. Not so much as a mark on it. 2 previous owners. New tires and battery. Selling due to another rare find of a vehicle I just have to put in my garage. Listing for $6000.00 Pic is from when I bought the bike with 3865 miles on it 2 years ago. Serious buyers PM me for more photos. Will prob list on Ebay but wanted to try VFR world first. cc.jpg

Lovely bike - You'll likely find the "right buyer" but it could take a while so don't despair...I recently sold my very clean 2006 ZX-14 with about 16,000 kilometers on it (9950 miles) for exactly $ 6000. It took over four effin' months (turns out that the dude that ended up buying it had been peepin' my ad for over 3 months before finally biting! Kinda strange).

I have a buddy with a XX (sadly, his bike is a mess, lol, too many friends borrowing it). IMO both models are beautiful big pigs with rockets shooting outta their ass.

So, cough it up, what's the rare vehicle that'll replace it!? Musn't be a bike or you woulda told us...I'm guessing, um, an army vehicle?

Love the looks and woosh of the CbrXX and tried one in '03 then '05 again wanting to buy one new but sadly at the time couldn't overcome its lower longer riding position when compared to the perfection I have in the VFR.

Funnily enough a mature work colleague recently offered me his truly immaculate '02 Super BBird bought new with only 2000miles on it, even though admit being severely tempted reluctantly declined it again for its riding position and my VFR still proving to be the ideal bike for me.

I like the panted engine case on the interceptor in the background. Any chance you could get a closeup of that, or an explanation of what you did?

The 87 came with black cases, I cut some thin stainless to put in the slots and put a brushed finish on the crank plug, chrome bolts are Suzuki 1150 I used on most of the engine.

They're lower, wider, lighter...2001-2003 Suzuki GSXR 600 750 1000 Aftermarket Mirrors Ebay $25, they must be modified to work. You remove glass with a suction cup and heatgun, swap the stems L to RT and enlarge the pivot hole in the plastic mirror housing to get the correct adj angle. They work great and got rid of that dorkey look. I tinted them blue while the glass was out since I ride at night, much nicer without headlight glare in your face. Just long bolts and spacers to mount them.

Pipes/cans are stock but modified, resinators removed and internal baffels opened up with larger end caps, it runs and sounds good now, I like the 87 polished stainless cans.

Thanks, added to favorites. Gen 2 mirror options are difficult at best and those look great.
