I'm hope I'm not the only one stupid enough to have done this but if so, here goes. If you have to take the tank off your 4th gen, make sure you turn the #&%$ing fuel back on when you re-fit it! Finally got my air filter from the UK and after fitting it and letting it idle for a while my pride and joy stalled and wouldn't start again. Good thing I didn't jump on and go for a test ride:biggrin:

True true, I have a manual petcock on one of my bikes and usually turn it off a few blocks away from my house. Every blue moon or so I forget to turn it on and I get that stu stu stu studder of fuel starvation then I realize when I look at my drivers licence it dont say "Mr. Perfect." Shit does happen...Might be the start of a good thread

Side note: I worked somewhere where one of the wrenches took off a spanking new cbr1100 blackbird gas tank and placed it on a table near a door. It was a seldom used door but that particular day, someone decided to use it! Well, nice new shiny black $1000.00 plus petrol tank hits the floor! Someone paid, me dont know who though.

I once thought I was perfect. But that would be a flaw, and I don't have any flaws.

a double secret James Bond secret that I will feel magnanimous to share wit you-00s is to use an old tyre to rest your precious petrol tank. Tyre must be preferably an old crusty race tyre, not to be confused with some crusty bastard that frequents this site  this way it keeps dah petcock from touching dah floor...

No-body has to tank me either cause I am feeling snice today.
