I have put the mileage on my cars in 5 states. The 238,000 mile Camry was bought in CT, moved to NY and then to CA. It was actually driven in probly 25 or so states, including a drive from CT to CA in about 2.5 days.
Well sir, I must admit, if you drove that thing for any period of time near NYC and nothing got loose or needing replacement, I'm rather impressed!!
Remember all the Ford Fairmonts that had the electronic ignition that had the "DO not cut or splice" resister wire that failed. I ran into one. The engine would turn over but not start. Then I found out there was 3 different resister wires. I called a dealership way out in the country and asked them what they do to fix the problem. They said just get rid of that wire which is in the steering column area and replace the wire with just a regular piece of wire. No fuse. Si I replaced the wire going to the ECM from the ignition switch but I put a fuse in it. Would not work. Got rid of the fuse and the car started up and ran. A real mess. Took me 3 days to get it all sorted out and make all the phone calls and research.
