Anybody have 6th gen mirrors?

Anybody have a set of 6th gen mirrors laying around? I dropped mine in the garage when I got home from work today. When it bumped into my roommate's Gixxer, the mirrors broke off and the windscreen came loose... I can fix the windscreen but need mirrors badly. If you have some, let me know what you want for them and I'll pay you for the mirrors plus overnight shipping. I hope someone has some... please???

No extra mirrors, but......

If they broke where they usually break, (where the stem flattens out for mounting), a good welder can very likely repair them.
If a welder tells you they can't be welded, then you are talking to the wrong welder.
I have had two repaired and one has been in use for about 8 months and 14,000 miles.
You have to really look to even notice the repair.

 

You are not having one hell of a lot of luck lately. Don't buy lotto for a while yet.

 

I have a spare set, but I don't think they would get to you in time Chicky. Sorry to see the fall too.

 

If that bike fell over and busted off both mirrors and did whatever to the windscreen, that ain't all thats broke. I wonder if "roomie" needs any GSXR parts?

 

Anyone ever fix those mirrors with the integrated signal lights before? Am more interested to know where to run those wires.

Not a clue but probably not at a welding shop or la chica's pad.

 

If you stick the broken ones in the mail I will weld them up and send them back ASAP. At the very least you would have a spare set for the next time you are bored and start snapping off mirror's to keep yourself entertained. :caked:

Correct, Tink. Was hoping someone could ship today. I found someone with them on eBay that was able to get them out today for overnight delivery, thankfully.

I do not know how I do it, it just looks some comfy sleeping there on the floor and I know how she rides. Logic I guess. :unsure:

 

EMGO aftermarket mirrors are not bad at all and are very reasonably priced. They look very similar to OEM.

What would be fun would be to act surprised when she gets savvy that a 550 lb bike tipover on concrete does more damage than bust off a mirror. What is odd is that both mirrors broke..

I'm thinking now the bike fell on one side then flipped back on its other side, breaking off both mirrors.

 

Chick you should really give your bike a blanket when you but it to bed at night.... but don't worry the GSXR broke its fall...
