    Aloha,
I am new to the forum and new to the V-4.
    I just picked up a '87 VFR700f2 with about
30K miles. It is white and cosmetically ruff.
PO was a middle aged guy who had it for about
    5 months.

When he got it he replaced a few parts. Parts
he replaced were installed by a dealer.

    They were:
R/R -(big with large fins), Battery, Frt/Rr Pads,
Conti Tires(Frt/Rr), Carbs cleaned and Synced.
It also has a centerstand, (does not look like it
    was used much).

PO found that He was too vertically challenged
to hold the bike up at stops. He was afraid it
would fall on him. Also he was going to share it
with his son, who now wants a Harley.

I will be doing searches on fairing repairs/hardware.
She has some hairline cracks on her fairings. Help
or suggestions would be appreciated. I currently
along with the VFR ride a '98 VTR1000f. I find the
V4 to be a satisfying ride. Good lower end unlike the
    inline 4s I previously owned.

Sorry for the long intro, just wanted to say Hi,
    I am going to try and include a pic. VFR700F2 left.png

Thanks Toe Cutter, I have been following some of your threads.
You have some fine rides in your stable, and a lot of knowledge/
experience that I can learn by. Mahalo.

welcome to our small part of the interweb.

I have always wondered...in Hawaii there isn't a whole lot of places just to ride..other than the beach and more swimsuits that almost anywhere. Get bored just riding around the islands, or just the island you are stuck on? I had heard they started an island to island ferry service a couple of years ago - does that help?

    Which island are you on

Beware of Toe Cutter. He is a pervert. Welcome Ono. I was over there a couple times. I was one of those really pasty looking white guys with a big beer belly, tackey t shirt and shorts and t-shirt, white athletis socks and brown sandles and always said "Eh"

But serioulsy. TC is one of our resident heroes who will help ayone and take in stray dogs. You will find many here who speak volumes with good advice. Some speak volumes and say nothing.

Someday you should just jump on the ride and come on over for a beer.

Nice ride! I used to live in Manoa when I flew for the now defunct Mokulele Airlines (I think they might still be flying some caravans). I love my 6th gen but I used to ride my roommate's scooter almost everywhere.

    Thanks for the friendly welcome.

Keager, I live on the Big Island. One of my favorite short rides
is along the coast through Onomea(hence the name). I generally
like to ride trough the Saddle between the two mountains. It had
a 19 mile portion at the beginning of twisty off camber road. It
has since been "renewed" and straightened. Lost all its charactor.
I generally like to ride around the island(about 250 miles) every
other month. The Kohala mountain road is another of my favorites.
The ferry aservice never lasted long and never got to serve the island.
too bad, was really looking forward to it.

34469 Randy, never been to Canada. I have always wanted to go,
if not to ride just visit. If I do I'd have a beer or few with you.:)

Comicus, flew on Mokulele a few times. It was a pleasurable experience.
Too bad you couldn't stay in the islands. Tn must be nice though. Lots
of wide open spce to ride the 6th gen. Your trend toward V-twins and V-4
looks like something mine will look like. Similarities vs. inline 4s. How do you
like the SV? Must be a light sweet ride.

    Mahalos to All.

Got any more pics of your F2?

I got excellent results repairing the fairing cracks on my old '97 VFR750 using a ThreeBond plastic repair kit.

Welcome and nice ride. Again beware of toe cutter and do not introduce him to your mother or sister. Keep posting as you spruce up the ride

    Welcome! Nice 2nd gen.

Enjoy that centrestand...they are rare on that generation.

Was also wondering how the riding would be couped up on the Islands. I enjoy taking long tours.

It's be fun to visit hawaii one day and ride around the island. (I'm not very keen about lying around on a beach and/or swimming)

Enjoy your stay....and post more pics if you got some.

Maybe one of your bike covered in Hawaiian girls? :thumb:

I see a great calendar shot coming. Some beautiful Hawaiian wahine astride Ono’s VFR perched on a schlong scream’n through the pipe. Don’t mind me. I’m just a shubee.
