I was in Reno/Sparks for the first day/night of Street Vibrations. About 95% of the riders were there to enjoy themselves, and about 5% were making mean faces and talking a lot of tough-guy nonsense. The 5% were almost all wearing their cute little club vests, too...

It really is too bad that a few dipshits had to try and prove their manhood, particularly since it came on the heels of the airshow crash a week earlier. I think the vendors and various businesses should calculate their approximate loss of revenue and present the Hells Angels and the Vagos with an invoice.

There were a lot of nice bikes there, including a group of about 10 from Pennsylvania on the new BMW GTL 6 cylinder bikes.

The Sparks Nevada portion of the Street Vibrations Motorcycle Event was cancelled the Reno portions continued.
    LAS VEGAS
is about 500 miles to the south and is not hosting a motorcycle event.

One of the reasons some of the "tude" shit you see from the harleydoods who wear those cute little vests all shiny and new with patches advertising everything but toothpaste and Preperation H, was restricted to such a small percentage might be because when the bad boys show up, the smack talkers and BS artists sort of clam up.

I actually don't get "biker" gangs. My wife and I started watching "Sons of Anarchy" from episode 1 because we had never seen it. We are now at the end of Season 1, and frankly, what do motorcycles even have to do with that lifestyle? I keep going back to that "Wild Hogs" movie where at the end the long-lost biker dad rides in and says something like "we forgot it was about the ride." Biker gangs have become such a cliche that it's not even a proper "front" for the illegal activity. I am scratching my head over this.

Sorry, but my mom is no longer around. Part of the initiation for my MC gang is to kill and eat your mom. We share everything. It's a lifestyle.

So what do you homos share? Packs of Oscar Meyer products, frozen corndogs?

Yeah, Vegas is overrun with Motorcycle "clubs". Some are labelled "social clubs" or "two patch" while others are "true MC clubs" or "three patch". The difference seems to be two patch clubs don't pick fights, three patch clubs do. No matter what type of club it is, the emphasis definitely does NOT seem to be about riding. It's more about oppression and forcing the members to attend all events or be "fined". Most events are so close to home ya may as well walk, who needs a motorcycle for these things?? I actually hung out with one of the local clubs here for a bit because they invited me on a few rides that they did. But other than a couple cool rides once in a while, I saw no benefit to the club at all. I always say religion and clubs are for people who can't think for themselves... and my experience with this club definitely proved that point. The members were told when to be where, how to ride, how to act, who to talk to.... I felt like I was in some sort of prison camp.

But hey, at least the three patch clubs have the potential to kill each other off thereby taking out the weakest and most retarded from the gene pool...

To be clear... Las Vegas IS hosting its usual Bikefest and it is not cancelled due to the shooting. I will not be in Vegas this weekend so I don't care what happens. I will be with TC and other various members of our VFRW gang at a certain b-day party.
