I'm a long time Honda rider (ST1100, V45 Magna, 650 Nighthawk), but I finally got the bike of my dreams, the '10 VFR1200F. Brought it home saturday.

Message me here and let's network. I have a question right out of the gate. Where's a good place to pick up a Honda tank pad? My jacket is already starting to mark up the paint.

    Thanks!

    Alan

Congratulations and welcome. Any plans for the bike, such as luggage, exhaust, etc.?

Hey Jug- Are you in Bunnlevel NC? If so I think you might have the 1200 I almost bought out in Sanford. Nice rides fella's- those Gen7's are a BEAST!

Yes NC. No got mine in Lumberton. I was in Sanford recently, they still have theirs and mine's a DCT. It does OK. Sort of an old man's dream bike.

Too bad I'm leaving for GA next week. Would have been cool to get everyone from the local area together.

Well Stewart, i just ordered my tank pad, but i consider that a necessity, not an accessory. I have been thinking about how i want to dress it up, and the first thing i can tell you is that the Honda hard luggage is waaaaayyy too expensive. i will probably go with soft luggage that isn't too spendy, and easy to remove. I will get the Honda wind screen, since i am already tired of picking bugs off my jacket and visor......heated grips, and centerstand are a must.....and then GPS/Intercom down the road a ways. Don't know what else after that, but it's enough to keep me working overtime for this year....LOL
