DeadSmiley and TC... I cried like a baby first time I saw it... even now after a bunch of times watching it I get teary-eyed. I shared with some people in work who will be just taking their MSF course in a few weeks. I teared up in front of them!!! But they will "get it" someday if it's in their blood.... if not, it will just be a passing fancy and they will continue to think i"m nucking futs!!

TC... today I was thinking that very same thing.... the R3/Long BBQ crew in our 70s and 80s riding our then vintage VFRs with that thing called V-Tec!!! I sure don't want to rush being that old, but man the bond after 30/40 years riding together!!! Wow!!

Greasemonkey... I once posted as my FB Status "Riding motorcycles keeps you young!" I believe if we keep riding and never stop, we'll always be young and even if we can't walk we'll figure out how to get on the bike!! If you've ever watched "On Any Sunday" you'll know who Malcolm Smith is. I've met some people here in Vegas who know him... he has a motorcycle shop in SoCal somewhere. They say he is practically crippled now at his age after the way he abused his body... but put him on a bike and it's like watching a ballet... he still has the same skill and finesse he had when he was younger. When you love doing something as much as most of us love riding.... it becomes MORE natural than walking...

 

That is a great video, every time I watch it I see something I didn't see before.

... and some of us are gettin' up there. Seems about half the guys I've ridden with over the years are retired now (as I am); but all of 'em still ride.

Funny, I just watched "On Any Sunday" last night on Hulu.com. I had heard of it but never seen it before. I was browsing their documentaries and came across it. What a great movie. That Malcolm guy is amazing. And those guys were insane!

 

I'm sure SuperChicky doesn't need me to defend her but damn dude, she didn't say she knew him. She said she has friends who know him. Not exactly name dropping in my opinion. I don't know if you and SuperChicky have some kind of beef going but there's no need for you to bring negativity to what is a positive thread going here. I think I'll watch the video again. Maybe we all should.

 

Thanks MG. BB seems to think he is the expert on everything and while he may seem to have a wealth of knowlege I have found most of it to be unfoinded, inaccurate and based on some sort of paranoia. He also, as evidenced here, misses the real point of posts and gets caught up in the tiniest details. I have found his misguided attempts at trying to be right to be quite humorous and of late have found his attacks on me and his rebuttals to be quite boring and unoriginal. I was enjoying toying with him for a while but have now found myself yawning at his posts.... So, while I dont sit and check every fact that I put on here and dont feel a need to because its the sentiment that counts... Yes, MG, you are correct... Im not name dropping and I dont know Malcolm. Quite a few friends have spent time with him and talk quite fondly of him so I thought he was a good example that most could identify with. I could just as easily said my neighbor down the street and made the same point with the same meaning. However, as predicted (yes, I was just waiting to see how long), BB comes.in and makes an ass out of his trolling self. Btw BB... Im sure that not only all Asian guys look the same to you, but ALL guys.... Based on your recent proposition to Randy you must have the same rear view of all male acquaintances...

I personally feel that BB should be banned from this forum as he adds more negativity than anything positive or constructive. However it seems there are a few members who think his paranoia and righteousness are needed. I prefer to have my own original thoughts and I dont really need someone telling me right and wrong especially when 99% of the time he is wrong.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming... Im with you MG... Watching the vid again...

 

You've got BBs posts all wrong, not only has he surpassed NorcalBoys efforts but has also overtaken Bubba Zanetti with Squirrelman and Toe Cutter in sight. :smile:

 

I assume you mean by post count? Post count merely means that the person spends alot of time here and has replied to many threads... it says nothing of the quality/value of his posts. Heck, I could surpass everyone in post count in one day if I wanted to post useless, annoying and meaningless information. I certainly do not seek out BBs posts, so it is quite possible he might have something valuable to offer this site. However, in any threads where both of us have interacted, he has been a complete ass, and others have commented on it, it's not just me noticing. Maybe he just enjoys being a dick in front of women. If that's the case, it is further proof that he is cruising this site to find his one and only true love since there are primarily men here. He sees me as competition and is trying to squeeze me out, I guess....???

In any case, I really don't want to dwell on anything BB related and since he is no longer entertaining or original, I am retiring back to ignore mode. If you would like to start a BB fan club thread, please feel free. In the meantime.... this thread is about a pretty cool video.... Thank you, that is all.

 

Very true, even though had seen it before still find its sentiment both strong and honest. Just found out an old work acquantance retired died in a ultralight accident last week off Sydneys northern beaches at least he was doing something he absolutely loved rather than being hit crossing the road or struck low by some faceless medical condition.

I think about suicide about 12 times a day, so i really don't know why i'm still living since i consume oxygen and contribute nothing......anti-depressant meds i guess. NO job, no income, no hopes for any improvement. FTW. There's no real reason for me to still be here.

 

I know some people who know some of those old Chinese guys. Two of them are gay and all the old Chinese guys swing both ways.

 

If whatsherface chica were just a bit sharper she could have pointed out that I am on the bottom and the rest of the dudes are on top.. I am crushed..lol
