    Stock is 190/55. Any reason I shouldn't run a 190/50? Ride safe.

I have used both on my 954. Hell, it came with a 200/50 on the back when I bought it (used). I think the 190/55 turns a little better. Could be the placebo effect though. <shrug>

I use the 180/55 on my 5th gen.

Nah,not a placebo effect Deadsmiley. I used that tire on my RC51 and it does help make the bike rotate better during side to side transitions. In fact it helped my RC51 rotate so good that it made it stupid easy to oversteer the bike if you weren't careful,so I removed that tire and went back to the stock 190/50.

I gave that 190/55 tire to my buddy Jeff. He put it on his Yamaha R1 and he absolutely loves it. My buddy Pez also runs one on his Ducati 999 and has nothing but good things to say about it.

Depends what you want to do with your bike. 55 gives a better turn in but 50 has an overall shorter dia and would probably give better gearing for acceleration.

    It'll handle like a cow with a 190/50

On paper, the 55 is about .75"/19mm taller than the 50, so it would effectively raise the rear ride height by .375"/9.5mm. Just FWIW.

Thank you all. Guess I will stick with a 190/55 (stock). Ride safe.

for the riding I do the dealer dude recommended the 190/50 and that's what I have on it now, prelli Angels it feels diferent but still handles great and corners the same except it feels like I have more grip. I'm not a very aggressive rider more towards touring and staying within the ticket free range of the speed limit, most of the time :)
