Okay, so my first "mod" isn't a big one but it's a start. I put a set of clear stomp grip traction pads on my '07 VFR800 (pics to follow). Yes, I know...not really a mod but technically, it's the first alteration to an otherwise stock bike. I was worried that they would take away from the look of my red, white and blue color scheme that I love so much but I'm actually really happy with how they turned out. I had stomp grip pads on my ZX6R and loved them. This was the first time I had to put them on myself though. My ZX came with them installed. If any of you are thinking of adding them, there's definitely a way to go about doing it. I'm glad I found a video that spells out how to do it before I tried myself.

    Here it is:

(I've never tried to add a video - hope it works). They recommend not riding the bike for 24 hours as the pads continue to strengthen their bond with the tank. After 72 hours, they're supposed to be completely set. It's going to be a looonnnng 24 hours!

I'm sorry but I don't understand the words coming out of your mouth (or keyboard). But I think I should thank you. So, thanks!

Here are a few pics. Not the best quality (taken with my phone in my garage) but hopefully good enough to give you an idea of how the stomp grip pads look.

Guess everything that is old is new. My old Triumph had them.

I walked in to my local Cycle Gear shop and ordered them. It took three days for them to come in. You can order them online at: Cycle Gear - STOMP GRIP: Honda Motorcycle Traction Pad, BLACK but I imagine you can find them at a bunch of places.

So true. I had a Bonneville that had them too. They didn't get put to use quite as much as the ones on my sport bike but even on a Bonnie they were useful.

Nice work. I put the clear ones on my red 07 plus the belt/jacket guard. Looks great and gives better traction.

Thanks. I ordered some of that "tank slapper" clear film to protect the tank from my jacket. I've used it before and it worked well. I think my next mod will be the Competition Werks fender eliminator. I don't plan to do too much more to the bike. I'm happy with the stock exhaust. Maybe just a Sargent seat and some HIDs. (I know...famous last words)

The Sargent seat is a must. I put the stock seat back on for track days. Easier to move about. The HIDs are also very cool. Scubalong put yellow ones in for me. They are great at night. Post what you think of the eliminator kit. I'm thinking of doing that as well.
