So not a whole lot new, worked out the seat pad, trying to figure out if the 19 is a bit much, feel free to chime in on that! Gas tank is just about ready for paint prep just some tweaks here and there.
Here is all I ended up using from the vf 500 tank.

    Looking great!

If you have a few more photos, I'd be interested in learning a bit more on how you went about fabricating the custom tank.

Invisable, basicly I used the bottom of th stock tank and glassed over it so I could join the top half I layed up out of the tank cover of a fzr 400. Glassed the two together and lined it with some casewell, and thats it.
here is a pick of the stock fzr 400 tank cover

and the fiberglass cover I layed in the 400 cover.

At least one of us can say that my bike is in limbo. Do you have a sheen peek of the paint for us?

Got somemore done this weekend, painted the lower fairing and put on the decals.
Mocked up the rest of the decals on the upper, waiting on head lights to get here then I can get this thing done!

I guess this is kind of a sheen peek, not bad for rattle can!
here is a pic of the stock feul valve incorperated in the new tank.

Boy, it always starts to come together when you get to put on the decals. Funnest part of the entire build!

I know the forks aren't set up in their final location but the upper fairing is, correct?
Looks to me like the bars are going to be half way down the steering stem to clear?

+1 on hopit's post. It would be interesting to see a photo or two of a person on the bike to get a sense of the ergonomics here. Long arms and strong wrists may be a requirement on this steed ;-)

actualy since the bike is so small its not bad its well about like rs 250 I would imagine, very compact as far as egos go, but yes the upper is in about its final location. I will take a bounch of pics when its all wofinished. Here a is a cool link I have been using as inspiration. The clip ons on the 500 look to be about as lo on the forks as mine.
