    Top shelf!

I'm a fan of the staggered 4-2 exhaust on this build. I wonder if this was custom made, as I haven't seen another like it.

Where did you find that seat? Is it hard to put on? Lot of fab work?

I've looked at a lot of Interceptors and parts, and I've never seen another exhaust exactly like this one. It really doesn't look like a one off item, but maybe. It also came with extra "street" baffles that you can wrap in glass and slide into the baffles you see, decreasing the outlet size. This exhaust works really well and sounds AMAZING. The 84 engine sounded 'meaner', but I did my fastest lap with the 86 motor. I traded a stock system straight across for it. The guy bought the bike with it and had zero info on it, except that it was way too f-ing loud for him.

The seat is a 1992 RS250 piece from Airtech. It is mounted to a modified stock seat pan and the whole thing comes off with just two bolts up under the seat above the rear tire. It also worked nicely for racing, but the seat height is very low. I would probably create a custom upholstered seat pad for some extra seat height for the street. But how it mounted really let it sit in the right spot and angle.

It's been a few years, but WMRRA in the Seattle, WA area. Raced SIR (now Pacific Raceways), Spokane Raceway Park, and went down to PIR in Portland a couple times.

Also was the Early Heavyweight GP Champion on a mostly stock 92 CBR600F2 against some FZR1000's and GSXR1100's.

I used to hate the 600 guys running in the heavyweight class when I raced my 750 :chaingun::wedgie::Cry::chairshot::vtr2:

I was already running the bike in a class for older 600's. The bike was legal for the Heavyweight class and I was taking advantage of progressively cheaper entry fees to get some very valuable track time. It just happened to result in a Championship. It really shouldn't matter what is going on behind you anyway... oh, wait... I get it.

Great looking exhaust no doubt. Hoping to source one of these.

I'm still puzzled as to whether a 4-1 or a 4-2 exhaust system is the way to go (in terms of performance) on the VF500F but HRC seems to have run 4-2s, from what I have seen in old photos.

The early bikes like the ones you raced were truly riders machines! The tiny tooth pick forks and just as small tires shity brakes, I guess what im trying to say is you guys had some huge ass balls!

Just busting your chops a bit, when I raced on the short tracks I went out and got a FZ600 for when the field was full of those little bikes. :vtr2: I had the most fun running the unlimited GP class with my GSX-R, getting passed in the corners by the 250's and getting them back on the straights, what a blast. Congrats on the championship

Seattle and Spokane both had pretty long front straights, there was a lot of my hard work negated towards the end of the straight. Luckily it was later and later each lap before they passed me on the straights and the finish line was pretty early. I love passing people around the outside in the marbles... it's so demoralizing. ;)

Sadly... no. The realization sitting at the kitchen table trying to pay bills was terrible. Just couldn't justify it. It wasn't one thing that was terribly expensive, but when you add up a race weekend... Plus, I have too many bikes that I'm trying to keep on the road that always needs something.
