I spent a few detailing the RWB tonight after I spent all day doing my "Honey-Do" list... Man those white wheels are a real ****!! At least Fed-WRECKS showed up with my new helmet today. I looked for one of these before & could never find one- they've been discontinued for years now. I found this one on the WERA classifieds out of L.A. California. Belonged to a racer who only had it as a backup and left it shelved after using it on the track once or twice.
Anyway here's a couple of pics!

Absolutely new condition and a near-perfect color match for the RWB on the bike. The white is good, the blue is almost exact, and the red- well close enough! It oughta be good for pissin off more than a few old ladies!

Looks good. The white rims are definitely worth it. I have them on mine and would never go back to black. I might have a copy of the Honda Red Rider magazine you're looking for. I thought your bike looked familiar. I think it was owned by a member here - Lance ? - and his bike was featured in the magazine.

Nice!! Are those some extra paint licks on the chainguard and front end?

Any wheel, especially the rear on a chain driven bike is a bitch. Auto paints are amazingly tough. Just my way of wheel cleaning.. I use cleaner concentrate from Wally's, Costco or most Napa stores. About 7-8 bucks a gallon. For wheels on my bikes, I dilute the stuff 100% and keep the mix in an elcheapo spray bottle. I use the mix on my car wheels too..

I get all my wash stuff ready to go first.. Spray down the wheels dry, for detailing, I use a old synthetic bristle paintbrush. Even a new brush of that type is worth buying. Most "parts" brushes on the market are crap. (IMO)

I wet the brush too. Clean em and hose off the crud, then do the rest of the bike. Mine goes on the centerstand for a wash job so that makes life a little easier.

In case any harleydoods are tuned in to this, full strength, this stuff will even clean oil drips off the driveway in your cul-de-sac.

It was Landy's bike. I drove out west last weekend and bought it from him. Man that guy was meticulous with EVERYTHING! Landy had all the paperwork for the mods, the original NTO parts (and most of the packaging), the whole 9 yards- and the bike is in excellent shape! If anyone here ever considers buying a bike he's put together DON'T HESITATE!

And yeah- if you have that magazine I'd love to get it! Just pm me and we'll work it out- Thanks!

Next time you might want to turn it around for the picture. The right side of any VFR is always the good side

Not sure about the red mirrors and chain guard. And you might want to consider some blue gauges...would look great with the blue paint.

It's a love - hate thing. Definitely a pain to clean, but when you're done, they look so good that you forget all about it.

Sweet ride you've got there Greasemonkey. Congratulations she's a real beauty.

Although for some reason it looks oddly familiar. I dunno I can't quite put my finger on it but it's like I've seen it somewhere before.

I'm with ya. Don't wanna dis someone elses machine, but that was definately more the never say die effort of the owner than the actual bike. That dude just wouldn't quit.

I'm starting to see there have been some... differences... between the fella I bought my bike from and some of the other members here. I hope no one is offended by me saying up front that I'm not about to take sides, or get drafted into somebody elses pissing contest... I only bought a friggin bike...

I (obviously, or I wouldn't have bought it...) thought the bike was tastefully modified. Where as the painted parts and white seat may brighten it up a bit much for some, I thought the red LED gauges, gear display, trimmed windscreen, carbon fiber levers & bar ends, and the Scorpion exhaust rounded out the overall effect making it a bit more aggressive.

Some of these dudes are quite happy with the off the shelf look on anything and piling shit on top of shit until thier bikes look like Mini-Winnies. They do have thier positive aspects though. They drink "BUD" and eat at McDonalds. Keeps the economy going ya know.

    Stockers Suck!
