First ticket on the VFR - Advice?

posted previously in another thread, no big trick or anything no lawyer involved
went to court, plead to a lesser charge, no points (which was my main concern), smaller fine to boot. Heck, I would have paid the same fine to avoid points on my record.

There was actually an article about this in the Chronicle a few months back about this, it seems the a lot of cities are seeking to do this because they keep a higher percentage of the non-point tickets instead of having to send a BIG chunk to Sacremento as would normally be the case. So the guilty person wins, the city wins, the state loses.

 

No doubt this article is available somehwhere. I hope they stay on it to get those speeding tickets pled down to parking tickets. BTW, in case I want to look, and you are unable to come up with the goods, which "Chronicle" was it? San Francisco, Houston, Shippensburg? the one in South Africa or the one in UK that went tits up in 1960..?

 

San Fran, is a reasonable guess since it is the only one of the ones you mentioned that is actually in CA. I google'd it, but came up with far too many matches for me to waste my time with.

And I never said parking tickets.
