Now that there are a few different types of them, I thought I'd start a new thread since my girl tumped over and snapped the clutch lever.

What do you have and do you like them?

coincidentally, I've been reading through many of the "lever" threads. I want to replace the stock ones on my 6th gen. It seems to me from what I've read the lever of choice is usually the Pazzo shorties which is what I'm going with. Pretty expensive for a set of levers but they sure look sexy.

Been looking around and a lot of people say the knock offs are pretty much the same as the pazzos.

    I'm thinking these in gold.

Has anyone here reviewed them ? I didn't see anything on the "knock-offs" but I wouldn't mind hearing from someone who actually has them before I lay down $180 for the pazzos.

I just took a closer look at those. They slide to adjust length,,I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they pinch your fingers/gloves where they slide in and out.

I've been really happy with the shorty knockoffs from ebay on my VFR. I have ASV's on GSX-R and they're really nice too but not enough to justify the price difference. No quality issues whatsoever and really quick shipping (can't recall the vendor...sorry).

i bought this cheapo Chinese set off ebay earlier this year and i gotta tell ya, they still work as new. i got the black handles with red adjusters in regular length. didn't want to deal with the shorties and possible hand fatigue. the black did fade a little but it's not a deal breaker. ~$40 shipped to my door ain't so bad.
and there's no cheap plastic in there as well. all aluminum.
if you'd like, i can post a photo of them now 5 months old

I have pazzos on my bike, and paid heaps for them, but out of curiosity I also bought a set of the cheapie Chinese knock offs (in a different colour of course) so I am able to do a direct comparison.
the cheapies look exactly the same as the real deal, except for the anodising which I am told fades over time, but mine havent yet, and maybe the tolerances arent quite as good, but its hard to tell, its that close.
There is one minor difference in the brake master cylinder actuating arm, it isnt quite as thick as the genuine pazzos, but I dont know if this would be an issue or not.
There are a few threads around about people having their front brake lock on (not on hondas) due to the master cylinder piston not retracting enough to uncover the fluid port, but this is unlikely with the VFR setup, it is easy to check anyway.
I got mine from an ebay seller called "thetwowheels".

I bought some from eBay seller motofairings2009 last year for the 954. I got black with red adjusters. They look good. The price was about $50. I don't see where this seller has levers for the VFR. I have no complaints.

    Curious.

I have been looking at levers also but can't rationalize spending soo much on the non-chinese levers.

Starting to sound like the "knock-offs" are a good purchase.

Ok, I do have one complaint. I have to replace them since I crashed the 954 at the track in April. If I could just buy a clutch lever that would be cool. The lever didn't break, it's just rashed up. Damn, $50 down the tubes!

I bought some cheap black levers a couple years ago and the one for the brake wouldn't let the front brake release all the way. It had to be ground down a little to work correctly.

Took a photo of the brake lever to show the fading. It's got a bit of a reddish hue to it. Guess I could always take them off and spray paint them black but it's not that bad.
I took the photo in direct sunlight to better highlight the fading.

I like the hole at the distal end of the lever. I think that is for threading a piece of rope with a knot at one end so the pillion can brake if the rider is going too fast.

Thats funny chit with the lever and the distal hoe at the end for comforting a pillion. LOL

Kinda looks like a knock-off of a Pazzos/I have used knock-off levers and this is my take on them. The factory stuff just feels better. Kinda like if I make myself a crappy microwaved meal, If I put that crap on a nice china plate and eat it with some half way decent flatware, I feel like a human, compared to eating it off a plastic plate with some spork. I do have an adjustable brake lever on my YSR 50 though that isnt factory, so maybe I am a hyprorite

Have ASV regular length. A little uncomfortable on the fingers because they have kind of a squared off edge. Love them though... Have ASV's on my race quad and they still look brand new and that's in really bad conditions.
ASV customer service is super too. Well worth the cash in my opinion.
Moto Mummy had the best deal I could find. Any color adjuster you want and I had them in three days.

I really meant to say "digital ho" Ooops!

91 tipped over and snapped the OEM brake lever; bent the Heli bar too. Got a nephew who is a tool and die maker who welded it for me. Works great. I can't say that for the bar..Had to get a new set..

This reminds me.. I have the bent set for a 90-93. If somebody had acess to an aerospace level tube bender and mandrils. the bad one might could be straightend. Anyho.. $25.00 and shipping for anybody that wants or needs or for some strange dude that collects Heli-bars as a hobby and should be by all that is holy, outed..;)
