Hey Everyone! After being registered here for a while, I finally came across a bike that suited me and am now part of the VFR family.

    My bike is as follows:

Euro-spec (originally from the UK) 1999 Yellow VFR800Fi.
Two Brothers exhaust, CF front fender, heated grips and accessory port for heated Gerbins jacket. Givi top case and brand new tires.

It has 18,500 miles on it, and I paid 4200 for it out the door (tax, title, license, etc.)

It seems like a great deal as it was owned by an older rider, and there are no signs of abuse. He upgraded to a BMW touring bike, so this bike was his trade in. All services performed and records available.

Anyway, I'm so excited that I can't sleep. Ill probably bring it home tomorrow after they wash it and give it a last look over.

Glad to finally be part of "the nut house"!!

A yellow 99, you are truly in rare company in the States, welcome to the Nut House fellow 99 VFR rider. All 5g riders have trouble sleeping the night before their bike arrives because they know they just purchased the best all around bike on the planet...:thumb:

Welcome. I'm a new VFR owner as well and also can't seem to stop day dreaming about riding this season. I picked my 98 up in the snow here in Canada and it's sitting in my garage. I look at it every morning and night just waiting for the roads to clear and the temperature to get above freezing. IT'S SITTING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND I HAVEN'T EVEN RIDDEN IT YET AND CAN'T BECAUSE OF THE SNOW! The next few weeks are going to seem like an eternity. At least I have this great community of enthusiasts to hang out with while I wait. WELCOME BROTHER!

I got my bike all registered, and have the insurance card in my hand. Bought a new SHOEI, Gerbings heated jacket (gotta take advantage of the installed port) and im waiting till 5 so I can ride home (Im at work and every minute seems like an hour!) Its like 30 degrees out, and I have a 20 minute ride. But the bike keeps beckoning to me to ride her. Can't say the same for my last girlfriend... Guess I'll take advantage of the situation then.

nice bike, dude. I ride a Kona called Jake the Snake from 2002. I was able to increase my mileage quite a bit goinf from a hybrid to a cyclocross bike. I enjoy it quite a bit but it's been a while.

    Hi DavidVFR.
Give me six months and I'll be able to say the same, although you most likely will still be riding at that time. Season is short in Canada. Need lots of warm clothes to extend it. Unfortunately, until the roads are clear of snow, I'm stuck with just sitting on it in the garage and daydreaming!

    Single fork?

Is this an altered pic, or does that thing really have a single sided fork?
