So it was about 7 AM this morning I was on my way to work on my 83'VF750F and out of nowhere 2 young deer pop out and are about to cross my path when they change direction mid leap and end up running one slightly to the left almost in front of me and the other did the same but just behind me, stayed there for about 3 or 4 seconds matching my speed (about 65 KMH)
in the same direction as me 3 feet away looking all sketchy like they were going to get me and thenbolted left back in to the ditch!!! :hss::scared:

The whole time I was thinking NNNNNOOOOOOO don't do it !!!
What a fright that was !! Could not speed up or slow down I would have been got by one or the other.

It is amazing how time slows down when stuff like that happens
it was only for a few seconds but it felt like an eternity.
I can't believe how fast those f*#kers can move
Anyway I made it in one piece and all is well just need new shorts

I refuse to ride at night. Monday I had a big doe run in front of me on my bicycle at 6pm. Two weeks ago I had 2 does run in front of my small car after dark. I was on a 65mph road and had to go to 10 to miss them.

20 years ago I missed a deer on my CBX by inches.

I have hit two deer in my smaller van. Both just leaped the road way into my path. I saw them a few seconds before the intersection. The van has been converted to a Camo paint scheme. Kind of matches my name.

they are nice to look at from far that is for sure not so much close like that

My buddy's girlfriend used to work at the visitor's center in the middle of algonquin park
One day in the late fall after the park had closed for the season she was driving on the road out and at the last second saw a moose standing in the road.
She hit the bastard from behind and it crushed the car and his bum was stuck in the windshield area inside the car with captain brown eye 4 inches from her face she could not get out and it took a couple of hours for the fire Dept to find and extract her. And the moose ran off after he got peeled from the car and yes he pooped on her LOL

OldGold, glad you got away unscathed.

Was going to tell my 2 stories of hitting deer on VFR's and getting away with just being grazed but OLDGOLD, you win!!!

Sounds like she was ok, so lmfao!

Where in Toronto did you have two deer showing up? I'll make a point to avoid the area. LOL

I am actually based out of Georgetown. I put Toronto there to give our american friends a better idea of my location.
The incident happened in the back roads around HWY 7 and Trafalgar road. I am seriously thinking of not riding there anymore,
on Sunday I almost goy 3 rabbits and on Tuesday I had a BIG blue heron bust out at the last second had to duck to get out of its path.
Killer roads but way to much wildlife.

I was out that way in my truck today. Too bad 'cause if I'd of hit some of those critters you speak of, they would have made a tasty dinner...

Running them over tenderizes the meat. :)

By the way, interesting that you're from Wagga Wagga. My aunt and uncle emigrated there from Italy for about a decade in the 60's, and had two boys. My aunt and cousins now live in Toronto (uncle passed away last year). I remember when we got air conditioning in our house and he said to my dad, "you don't have heat in Toronto. You want bloody heat? Move to Wagga Wagga!" He'd talk about it like it was the Wild West. I assume it still is? lol
    Small world mate.

Deer are my biggest fear about riding at night. Glad you escaped your run-in.

It was one of the most terrifying moments ever, slow motion wondering what are they going to do? What should I do ...Oh my God!!
