Great looking bike. I like the color, and the Kawasaki letters on the tank.

Thanks Donald, the paint job is really neat as its a dark blue with sparkles in the sunlight but the camera isn't catching that. I'll do more pics later.

I can tell there was some significant effort put into that machine, Brother Beez. Very well done.

    A Harley Davidson story.

When I was just 16 I got my first job in a HONDA dealership.
    I worked my way up.
I really liked the Hondas and was there from the first Honda 50 until the first 750 arrived.

Anyway i was getting loyal to Hondas. I even would even wear a HONDA "T" shirt.
One day one of the older mechanics said he was going to get a Harley Davidson and I said, "If you do, I won't associate with you." He said "You won't be able to."

I think he was just mess'n with the kid but what I learned is HD has that mystique.
When you just look at the HD engine it is impressive and massive.

A steam locomotive is also massive and impressive, but I'm not interested in riding one

LMAO! Thanks Donald and Bear...made me laugh this morning.

I have always liked Japanese bikes becasue the big four have always tried to be innovative in design and have brought such innovation to the masses for pretty cheap. That and the fact I fell in love with the z1000's the bad guys in Mad Max are riding I knew I wanted a 'fast' Japense bike when I grew up LOL!

As far as the other work that needs done I'll get to it and probably take pictures as more on the bike needs shined up or painted.

No the engine is just "massive" not impressive on a standard HD.

What engine impresses me is the TZ125. Engine weighs around 50 lbs., makes mid to high 30 HP, revs up to 14,000 rpm and carts my 180 lb ass around the race track at some fast speeds.

I was around 20 something and I was on Interstate 5 headed towards Los Angeles
I was in my Ford Falcon with my brother and we had two dirt racing motorcycles on a trailer. We had stopped at the top of the Grapevine grade to let the car engine cool off.(steep grade).

Two young guys, (I mean YOUNG) they were only about 14-16 years old ! drove up on two Kawasaki Z 1000's, they wanted to look at our flat track racing motorcycles.

The first thing we asked them was,"How did you guys (they were so young), get a drivers license for a motorcycle"?
Their ANSWER- " You don't need a drivers license in Los Angeles". They were serious too.
We laughed all the way to back to Arizona about that.
